Yeah, thought so. As I expected.

I still can't tell if you're actually being serious or not? The same as when you were going on about popping champagne when labour came in and acting like it was a new world.

Are you genuinely being serious?

I think they are both in the wrong and should be punished accordingly (one already has, of course), don't you?

If not, why not? What is the difference?

Well one displayed the flag of an illegal terrorist organisation - and the other one didn’t

I clearly said they were both wrong. My point is the clear levels and trying to compare them.

Just wondering did his man ever get sent down for encouraging violent disorder?

On the basis that Lucy Connolly got 31 months, he must surely have been given at least 10 years for a direct and explicit call to cut peoples throats.
Can't find anything though.

If you put his name into Google it's the first result!

His trial is in August.

Why has it took so long?

I would wager that he gets away with it though.

You need to understand that there is now a 2 tier justice system in the UK.

There's also a 2 tier outrage system, whereby all those who were outraged by the post by Lucy Connolly and say she deserves to be in prison will now choose to completely ignore the call to murder by left wing former Labour councillor Ricky Jones !

It will be very interesting to go back through this thread and see who those posters are that were backing the prison term for Mrs Connolly, and let's just gauge their level of outrage over Mr Jones.

I mean the fact that one was the wife of a Tory and one a ex Labour councillor, will, I'm sure, have no bearing whatsoever.

Also the fact that one gets thrown in the cells before her feet can touch the ground, and one is going through the judicial system at the speed of a homeless snail, isn't relevant at all. Is it?

What? No one has ignored it and it was referenced on here.

I have no skin in this but whilst we might see the crimes comparable, the crux is that one plead guilty and the other not.

He's on trial in August, it only took one Google search to establish this fact

Yes, we have established that fact.

Because we’ve had cuts to the justice system for 14 years and everything takes fucking ages. Connolly was done as part of the extra courts to get people prosecuted quickly as the riots were ongoing afaik. He wasn’t inciting ongoing violence so less rush to get him in front of a judge.

What about the airport pair that got released from custody when hundreds of Muslims marched to the station demanding there release. When are they in court after causing actual bodily harm to two police officers. Still waiting

Because it takes time to gather evidence? What relevance does it have? If it takes longer to build a case with a better chance of conviction then surely better than rushing to trial
