I can see this game being decided by close offside calls/non calls. We have been excellent at the back with our offside line and poor up front. Southampton are the opposite. Should make for some drama at both ends.
Most of us care deeply about our club. Of course we all want promotion, even more than when we lost out to Luton as we're better prepared in most ways now.
But there's worrying and then there's looking at the facts. 25 games to go and other than Middlesbrough the other sides have a mountain to climb just to have a chance of getting near us. Ipswich have to average 0.52 more points than us per remaining game and Southampton have to average 0.68 points more than us per remaining game just to catch up with us on points. Then we also have the better GD. Win 2 lose 1 is 2 ppg. Ipswich would have to average 2.52 ppg and Southampton 2.68 ppg. We've been flying and are well below these targets.
If a side comes out of the pack and gets within 5 points of us and Middlesborough continue to keep within touching distance I might join in with twitchy arse moments. But until then I'm just going to enjoy the season. Our recent form has been our worst so far this season yet we're still at the top of the form table and above Ipswich and Southampton who I'm supposed to be worried about.

Sure, I guess the difference is we were in the chasing pack at Christmas rather than a clear distance ahead of it. We also could only add some free agents to strengthen the squad as opposed to being able to spend a fair bit.
They also lost to Millwall. They’ve had some good wins but haven’t really beaten anyone that good to be honest.
Birmingham are tragic away and Leicester have an ok record away. For context, us beating Bristol this weekend was objectively more impressive than either of those wins.
They carry a massive goal threat so reckon a draw is a good result but breaking their record down… not that impressive to be honest.
I agree as long as you're not comparing Mowbray to Lampard
Let's try again to put your mind at rest slightly. We have only lost 2 games all season. In the top half of the table there's only 3 sides that haven't lost 2 or more in the last 6 games. That's us, Middlesbrough and Preston, and Preston W2 D3 so only 9 points from the last 6 games.
Or try this. If we win one lose one for the rest of the season that's 1.5 points a game. Can you see us being that bad especially with our home form? The teams below us would still have to average over 2 points a game for the rest of the season and the best are averaging only 1.66 points a game so far.
It out annual boys big day out. The last few have been terrible with losses to Birmingham and Portsmouth both away. The Birmingham game we actually booked rooms in the Birmingham supporters club pub.
Anyway win or lose we're on the booze and by 6 in the evening I doubt I will care (or possibly remember) the result. The Grumpy Monkey here we come.
