I suppose this all explains why everyone is so desperate for the legals to stop. It was going to expose all of this and as others have said was probably giving SISU the documents!

It was the council who have always said there has been no discussion. Then Duggins dropped them in the shit on CWR by saying there had been talks. It quickly unravelled and went from vague talks with no sites mentioned, to multiple sites but nothing specific, to a specific site.

What SISU are saying now is consistent with what they have been saying all along. That the council can and will hold up the process only doing the minimum required of them by law.

Apparently the telegraph are checking with their lawyers as to whether they can publish documents.

Checking documents
There were documents sent to us with the Sisu statement.

We are getting clarification from our lawyers as to whether we can publish or report on them. They are confidential but were submitted to the court.

We have chased the lawyers again in last few minutes.

Of course they are, it's not a comms person at the council to ask how to approach it...Not at all.

Yeah, a lot of this has stemmed from Duggins being let loose on the radio and slipping up.

Now is the time for the Trust to ask some serious questions about today’s statement.

If they aren’t prepared to do that then they are not fit for purpose as a representative voice of the fans.

It suggests to me that SISU and their specialist team have had some communication, but they've not had the progress they desired - that's how it reads to me.

If this wasn't about the very existence of the club I support at stake it would be great viewing.

I know it's probably been mentioned numerous times in this thread already, but ACL negotiating a sale to Wasps more than a YEAR before CCFC went to Northampton? Wow. That's a fucking game-changer right there.

Some of the usual suspects are conspicuous by their absence from social media this evening.
I've a feeling this revelation has a lot to do with it.

Well the whole scenerio round our football club for years before and after sisu is full of rinky-dinks, with confidentiality agreements all over the place. The council response to this will be interesting, there will have to be one. Of all and there’s few things that’s on that open letter the one thing I want to know is this council owned land where is it and is it still available, we deserve to know.

They will just say how it isn't true and sisu need to drop the legals or sell. The same as every other response.

This is from a council leader who has smugly gloated about public opinion being on his side.

Agree Nick, but this land should be identified or denied.

He didn’t ask what the council’s response would be or the situation around the club going back.

He asked you about YOUR thoughts on THIS topic.

Maybe he is checking with his "lawyer" too? People from the trust must be as well.

Wonder if they all use the same "lawyer"?

My opinion for what it’s worth is it’s eye opening and needs a response.
