Sure there's a benefit. Will be a fantastic experience for the players who went.
But I don't think there's enough of a benefit for King to have got the cheque book out to fund it. Assume with this type of tournament the hosts paid the clubs to take part. Just wondered who that investor was and what they perceive to be the benefit considering there seems to be about 100 people max at most matches.
It sounds like this was the first one in Singapore, so I’m not surprised the stadiums weren’t full. The one in Hong Kong is really well supported, thousands of people for each 3 days.
Also, what does it matter? We’re not throwing money at it and it’s the u21s. I honestly don’t think it’s anything you or I need need to be worrying about or questioning.
