When Coventry City aren’t playing all the other teams should be asking “Where’s Coventry City?”

Should be the body mass/torso. Don’t see why that’s so difficult. If any part of the bodies are overlapping then it’s onside. If there’s a gap then offside. Easier to measure with this semi-automated as well.

Trying to reduce time wasting by new laws like the subs only having a set time but introducing more VAR for corners

Great one FIFA!

Surely it’s all the same problem of drawing a line and determining if a player is past it?
That’s true but then I think there’d be less arguments about it being as picky as someone’s foot being bigger (wright/wan-bissaka). The perceived advantage to the attacker if his body is clearly ahead of the defender would be easier to swallow.

I don't think Wengers alteration was supposed to be less contentious or easier for the officials? Wasn't it about promoting attacking play and making the games more exciting/more goals
I think some of the argument is that this will actually hinder that, as teams will just sit tighter defensively. So instead you'll just get a load of Pep-style passing from side to side trying to break through a low block, or get the ball being hoofed from one end of the pitch to the other and midfield becomes pretty much irrelevant.

The offside one should be easy. If it looks straight away that it's offside then it is. If there's no clear infringement and you have to look in more detail then it isn't. All decisions made within 5 seconds so then VAR wouldn't be noticed in the stands like it is now.
