It's worse than that, playing a high line becomes impossible because attackers essentially get a yard advantage on the defender compared to now

Should be the body mass/torso. Don’t see why that’s so difficult. If any part of the bodies are overlapping then it’s onside. If there’s a gap then offside. Easier to measure with this semi-automated as well.
