The Premier League is - as Brian Glanville said - the Greed is Good League. It is purely about swelling its bloated stomach while the rest of the football clubs go hungry. Nothing can be done about it now. Personally I enjoy the Championship with packed crowds and excitement but we would all take 17th in the Premier League every time regardless who owned the club if it could be a reality

I'm old enough to remember when we were in Div 1 ,/ PL.struggling to stay up most seasons . Not for me the novelty wears off after a while and it's boring. So don't assume all , some do not .

When we were in League 2/League 1, I didn't think we'd make it back to the Championship. Let alone play offs, twice in 3 years. We did that without Saudi blood money. I'd rather us do it with some respectability and morality. As soon as people like that take over, we become a soulless club, a toy to play with til they get bored and leave us in the sh*t.

It's a moot point because their is no Saudi prince looking at Coventry.

Not a chance. For a couple of years, maybe, but I can't think of anything more depressing as a fan. Yo-yo club would be far more fun.

Yes often say to my lad. I don't miss the days where a win against Utd, Liverpool or Arsenal was the highlight of the season.

I would hate it if we were bought by an oil state or some kind of oligarch. I get it that it would be exciting to have a turn at being a big club and I expect if you ask Man City fans if they like what's happened over the last few years, most would say yes. It does take a lot of soul of the club though. Having a modicom of success without that crazy money gives you much more of a sense of pride. I think you also enjoy the moments of success considerably more when they are rare rather than normal. All that being said, there are now so many clubs owned by billionaires, it doesn't guarantee success anyway anymore...

That’s what we tell ourselves… let’s be honest, I would be in the minority in saying that I’d do a deal with the devil to see us win multiple Premier Leagues and UCL tours over Europe.

A lot of Cov fans can’t abide King so god knows how they would cope with non communicative foreign owners …. I think it’s routed in jealousy personally. It’s an East Midlands thing. I had no idea everywhere wasn’t like it until I moved out of the area ….

I thought I'd read we had options on Sheaf - perhaps that isn't true - I'd expect us to exercise that either way.

Got no issue keeping JA for another year, depends what he wants as effectively he’d be 5th/6th choice. Otherwise we will
Need a young project to replace him.

Unsurprised at taking the option on Allen, consumate pro, good ability, reliable, hard worker, and most importantly, wont kick up a fuss at being on the Bench. You'd struggle to find a player like that at this level these days
