Can't understand where all this optimism comes from. The only consolation about today's performance was that we were marginally better than Notts County. We hardly created a chance worthy of the name, bar Barton's last minute header. We have some truly dreadful players, who lack any genuine quality. We have won only once at home in over 5 months, and with our best striker out for the season, the signs are ominous.
As they say the table doesn't lie, Bristol City are top for a reason, yet people cling to the notion we can go there and win, of course in football nothing is impossible, but if we are relying on us getting a result there, then we really are in deep dodo. Can we survive, of course we still can, but I wouldn't be putting any money on it.

My optimism would normally come from the fact that we've still get three "6 pointers" left. But the way our seasons going, we'll beat Bristol and screw up in those games. Going to the wire I think, hope TM can sort their heads out.

If we go to Crawley needing a result we will not get it-we have got to secure safety while it's still in our hands.

Crawley could be quite key in all this. 5 games left and 4 of those are against teams still involved in the relegation fight.

I would say 2015 is going to be the first year that someone goes down with 52 points

Completely agree. Said earlier in this thread I think 53 will be needed.

Bookies have 5 teams more likely to be relegated than us...

Its fine margins though. Like I said before, right now we are doing just enough to stay up (by 1 point).

Concede a goal by the ball going into the net off the referees arse during the Colchester game and all of a sudden we are not doing enough to stop up, and we will quickly find that we are in the 3 top favourites to go down.

Yep Leyton Orient (just above the drop zone) have a current points per game ratio of 1.15 points, which would translate across the season as 53 points.

I'd have 3 as par for the next two games, draws not much use I feel (although it would still be better than a loss). 3 points or 4 points, don't think it makes a massive difference, still will leave us needing to win one of the final 3.

Yep, i would say we need 2 wins and 1 draw from the final 5 games to be absolutely certain.

Its still in our hands, we need to win 2 games starting with Colchester on saturday! I think if we do that then the Oldham game becomes massive! As if we won that one Bristol will be let say a little more enjoyable, and you never know we might not lose that game!

I think its time to get Reda back in the team as well! This season we have got 9 points from 14 games at home without him..... With him we have got 15 points from 7 games and lost none..... that includes 4 points at Sixfields as well......

His brittle nature and SPs determination not to like people who question him have cost us dearly at home!

A fit Reda for 75% of the season rather than 30% is the difference between Play offs and religation..... ! don't like stats but in this case the effect he has is staggering!

Unfortunately we will never get a fit Reda for 75% of the season. :(

There was a post on CET comments saying he should have a contract on pay as you play terms.
I know he has a 1 year option, but if it isn't on terms like that then no way should the club take it up.

TBH I think he will be gone at the end of the season, but he should have plenty motivation to putting in some good performances in the remaining games, otherwise how is he gong to get another contract anywhere!

As much as I hate to say it ....... thanks.

That's ok, i have a few freinds who are coventry season ticket holders, as much as it pains me to say, i guess it would be shit if you went down tbh! Colchester, crewe and notts county are bloody awful, they will join yeovil in div 2!!

I think Crewe's terrible goal difference may come back to haunt them come the end of the season, cause I wouldn't be at all surprised if it did come down to goal difference on that very last day.

There is one thing for sure. If it don't come down to goal difference it will come down to points difference.

I was surprised george thomas got dropped tbh, should have scored against orient when cleared off the line but thought he looked like he a had a goal in him, was always bringing the ball forward to. I'd start him up front with nouble and get johnson back in team for set piece presence
