Also done his ACL, MR confirmed it in the press conference this morning. We really are having some terrible luck with these injuries! Really feel for him, that's probably the end of his CCFC career

Is that the same injury he had before that set his career back?

Some bodies are just not made for professional sport. Feel for him as it probably means he has to look for a different career.

I know people have said its the same at other clubs but there has to be something causing so many of the same injury.
I don’t know whether it’s because it’s become more prominent with major players?

Remember when Beckham broke his metatarsal - nobody had ever heard of it. Now players break them every other week

I think it was previously described as 'doing your cruciate' but now they're more specific about which one of the two it is. It isn't a new thing it's just terminology

Some say its the modern stud patterns. Although I think injuries are diagnosed more accurately these days. Years ago it would just be a knee injury.

Somewhere between the waitress and her table.
ACL is a cursed acronym when it comes to CCFC

I'm not replying to be pedantic - but instead because I recently discovered this and thought it interesting (so I will share).

ACL is not an acronym - it's an initialism. To be an acronym one has to pronounce it as a word (such as NATO or NIMBY). If you say the letters individually it's an initialism. :)

Thanks - yes, I will try to get out more.

No, thanks, I like pedantry where I learn something.
