As I said Wednesday, comparable.

If the ref hadn't given the penalty that wasn't a penalty it wouldn't have been a goal.

Both mistakes.

FFS!! Like slamming my head against a wall this is. The referee is a neutral who is paid for his opinion. Gyokeres is a Coventry City player who is paid to score goals. The focus should solely be on what we can actually affect, not wasting energy something a fucking referee does.
You cannot compare the mistakes of a player to the mistakes of a referee, we don't have control of both do we??

The referee gave a penalty which led to Derby equalising. It was the wrong decision.

You mustn't be getting what I'm saying.

Can the club control the mistakes made by referees? No. So there is no point moaning about it. Our finishing on the other hand.....

On a similar note, isn't Hamer now a card away from being banned for cautions? 14 I think he's on now. Making Doyle look like a saint.

The one in the cup doesn't count towards a ban so it's 13. Once he reaches 15 it's a 3 game suspension.

He's already surpassed last year's record high of 12 & the most ever in a season in Championship history is 15 which he looks certain to surpass.
If he somehow reaches 20 he will be called in by the FA to explain himself & they can hand out whatever penalty they deem appropriate.

A large portion of the cards he gets are totally unnecessary. He really needs to cut out the petulance.

Because he keeps giving them reasons to! I don’t believe for one second referees are treating him different to any other player.

That’s the main reason why a Premiership team won’t take him. For many, his yellow cards are a liability and until he learns not to continually give the ref a chance to book him for another stupid incident will I expect stop him fulfilling his true potential.

I won't complain about a refereeing decision again because I cannot control it.

Fair enough..

For the penalty, I felt their player jumped into Sheaf. I felt the contact was made by him rather than the other way around. The ref did make a few mistakes. Dabo took the ball out for a corner but he gave a goal kick And O’Hare had a decision for handball given against him on the edge of the penalty area when both his arms were tucked int his body. I think if the ref could have seen the dive by the right winger in the way it could be seen on TV, he would surely have booked him. Blatant cheating.
At least we didn’t have to endure any ‘game management’ as both teams wanted to win.

Good lad. Makes no sense complaining about something out of your control.

Indeed. Somehow very much frowned upon because he’s not allowed to have a personality.

I like him for that exact reason (plus he's genuinely pretty good). Loved seeing him celebrate when Tranmere were promoted the other year.

Looking on whoscored the refs are more bias to the opposition as they seem to call us committing more fouls and I dont remember at all when we have been the dirtier team

Unconscious small team bias probably. It’s a proven thing, this paper on reducing it with additional assistant refs has a good background and sources:

Twelve eyes see more than eight. Referee bias and the introduction of additional assistant referees in soccer

This study is the first to investigate whether the introduction of additional assistant referees in the UEFA Europa League (2009–2010 season) and the UEFA Champions League (2010–2011 season) was associated with lower referee bias in terms of home and “big” team favouritism. To this end, we...

Sorry, don't get this... Maybe we have just committed more fouls?

We have the most fouled player in the league (by a distance) & have received fewer yellow & red cards than our opponents too.

Surely you can notice that the referees miss a lot on our end but happen to blow up every time they fall over

I am a football fan so I naturally think that on balance most refs are against us. That said, I am often shocked at games we have lost (all being equal) due to not just bad but really bad ref decisions. The old cliche that it evens out during a season does not feel right but is probably just my bias. Sure we can't change the refs decisions but it makes me feel better to call them a wanker, slaphead that should have gone to Specsavers etc.

6th fewest now with 64. 13 of which are to Hamer.

Again, there's no evidence of any "big club bias" in the stats. Blackburn are most booked with 95, Bournemouth are 4th for example.

In terms of red cards, West Brom lead the way with 6, Bournemouth & Derby 5.
3 clubs have no red cards at all - Barnsley, Huddersfield & Millwall.
Another 4 have received just 1- Luton, Peterborough, Bristol City & Reading.
