Cannot believe it’s been nearly a year since we posted on this thread!

The selection at supermarkets has improved massively recently.

Had a Mangolicious by Laine Brew Co this evening in the garden, in the sun - great beer for this weather. Purchased from Lidl as part of their beer festival - which I always make a special trip for as their selection is generally really good.

Mind you - I'm starting to learn which alcohol-free beers are worth supping, and which are shite. (The latter, mostly, but there are a few really good ones).

If I just want one or two beers at home of an evening, any of the Badger brand are a winner for me. If I got told I could only drink these 4 for the rest of my life I wouldn't grumble.

Cranborne Poacher
Fursty Ferret
Blandford Fly
Golden Champion

Also, a bit left field but I've seen a few mentions of chocolate stouts looking back so worth mentioning. Was out with a few friends and something on a bar menu caught my eye. Essentially a jagerbomb but chocolate stout instead of red bull and bourbon instead of jager. No need to shot it either, I was happy just sipping it.

A bit gimmicky but I tell you it was fucking delicious. Have recreated it at home a couple of times.

They're ok, i think they used to be pretty cheap in Morrison's. They also did one that tastes quite floral, sure it's Golden Glory

I’m a big fan of the Cranborne Poacher!

Wow! Can’t work out if that sounds nice or just a bit strange! Definitely going to give it a go to recreate though!

My Dad's had to give up. He likes the Purity and Erdinger low alcohol so far... and also the Guinness!
The Erdinger is very passable. If he likes a weiss tell him to try the Franziskaner.
However (and these are not very widely available, sadly) he really has to try Brooklyn's Special Effects hoppy lager, and Beavertown Lazer Crush IPA. Both amazingly good.

Pravha is the one I have now if I see it.

Loved Madri at the start but not as fussed now.

Yeah they still do a few in Morrisons, never Cranborne Poacher at the one near me though. That and Blandford Fly are pretty sweet and complex so I can only normally handle one before I need something lighter. Most of the time I'm a lager drinker so it feels like a treat

I only ordered it because I was 3 pints down so more willing to take the risk but if it helps my mates had a try and all ordered one immediately. Can't remember which stout it was but I'm sure it was Bulleit bourbon

Yeah I did the same, mixture of red and blue aftershocks.

Puke everywhere.

Although Fireball is quite close to Red Aftershock.
Got given a bottle of Fireball for Xmas 🎄.

Loves the stuff I do.... But it doesn't like me. Lightweight on it.

How has it been nearly 2 years since this thread started

Anyway, one of the best lagers out there if you're not going out to the pub imo

Yeah 😂, always reminds me of those cans in grotty student club nights haha.

Hard to find on tap in pubs nowadays

I lived on Stella in my boozing days and the Stella 0% is incredibly similar. It’s been two years since I had a proper one but I’d go as far to say I can’t tell the difference.

Had a Cobra 0% in the Casino last season and it was rancid. Similar for the Peroni. Can live with Heineken 0 if it’s ice cold.

These are probably all last on a connoisseur’s list but I was never into IPAs and all that malarkey. Just strongish mainstream lagers.
