Those giving Biamou consistent 7/7.5s week after week must be genuinely concerned that Robins would allow his contract to run down and risk someone snapping him up, surely?
They must view him as an above average player at this level considering he’s seen as one of our best players.

Biamou was our best striker today.

For me that's a massive worry.

Love it how Biamou gets so much attention. There were 15 other players playing. Yet he grabs the headlines on here.

Mccallum crosses to walker back to James. A single pass miles back in the move is the only good thing you can pick out. Desperate really

If people are giving him man of the match it’s bit my judgement that’s clouded and I’m hardly alone

But biamou had the golden arm. I confidently predict he will go to the rest of the season doing nothing and with 10 seconds of the season left and is on the bottom 3 he will score a 50 yard over head kick. He’s a hero and he gets freedom of the city and a three year contract and again does nothing for another 3 years

So let's drop him ship him off to league 2 put in one of the other strikers we have in back up.
Fuck me you would think that he gets a hatful of chances every week, I dont know of any striker in the World who scores every chance they get, especially when they only get 2 chances per game, none of them are firing, Why?
Its a team game and it takes more than one person to help make and score a goal generally.
The whole team is poor the chances are usually half chances but when you pay peanuts for players you get what you get.
Thing is I believe most are doing their best .

Isn’t it time Danny Thomas turned up to remind us about the greatest athlete at the club and how he’s playing through an injury

Not clutching at straws.
The poster said we wouldnt have scored if Walker wasnt playing as he got the assist, making him a class striker.
Thing is who did the first pass, if that hadn't have happened then we wouldnt have scored.

If we had kicked off 10 seconds later that goal wouldnt have happened but we might have scored 2 and won.
Just saying.

Other than that. What did he do for 89 minutes?

Walker won a header and those trying to push an agenda are behaving as if the header was world class.

He did nothing else all game.

I would say anyone else on the bench would have contributed more.

No one is arguing with that thing is you just cant see anything else he does.
We are short of strikers at the club I personally dont believe any of them are up to standard, and even Godden would struggle with the amount of chances we actually make.
We really need to look at other parts of the team imho.

That isn't an argument.

He won one fucking header. That's all he did for the entire game. That contribution is not enough and if he carries on like that once Biamou and Bakayoko aren't regularly playing he will get skinned alive.

The latter two should not be playing, but even though Biamou did, at least it looked like he was on the pitch even if he was shit.

Really Godden and Walker are both back-up strikers at this level, it’s an area that needs addressing above others in the summer if we survive, IMO.

My question was would we have scored? You think Gyorkes or Bakayoko could have cushioned that header? How many points in the last 3 games without Tyler Walker?

Totally agree.

Biamou isn't up to the level at all, but I don't think Walker is either. That will become more obvious when people aren't occupied with moaning about Biamou or Bakayoko/Gyökeres.

Godden is our best striker but it will be interesting to see how he does when he comes back.

So that makes him a top striker how many shots did he have?
Max got a great save out of the keeper so at least he had one, just pick the bits you want forget the bits you dont.
They are both not up to standard like most of the team but let's just pick on one player and blame him for all our woes.
Thing is dropping him wont change our position.

We all know Biamou isn't really up to this level. I'm not arguing against that.

I'm saying that Walker 'cushions a header' being treated like he's scored a hatrick against Barcelona is ridiculous and the fact that it is all people have demonstrares the straw clutching.

His goal against Brentford was good. His penalty (which Biamou won), was lucky. Today he won a header.

He has done absolutely fuck all otherwise, but because people are blinded by hate for Biamou, they see Messi.

I hope I am wrong, but I suspect we will come back to this when we have other strikers in the team with some reasonable ability that will show him up.

I’m not saying that at all, you said he was not better than Biamou today and I’m saying he was. If for the rest of the season, Walker does nothing but sets up a goal in every game, I’m happy. If Biamou plays like that every week, he offers nothing of note

But in reality, I don't think he was bad today, mostly first half... Played decent.. However his missed chances have cost us during his time in the side, that's not really up for debate is it?
