It's not that though is it. Think you are missing the point CCFC is trying to make ...and me too.

England winning something by definition would be bigger. Not sure what the percentage is, but you would have to assume that the vast majority of City fans were born and live in England and are most likely England fans.

If England won something then the City fans would be celebrating with the rest of the country. Therefore City fans and the whole of the country in unison.

England winning would be bigger as the whole country would be in celebration.

But as Rev says, it's not about loving one more than the other. For me it's about the degrees of importance, and as I said previously England playing and City playing are not at all comparable. They don't play the same type of competition, they don't play at the same time and England probably only have about 6 games a season. It's almost like two different sports to be honest.

But I stand by my stance and am not at all embarrassed about it, England winning something would be more important and bigger, so I would plump for England winning the Euro Championship over City winning the League One trophy for sure.

im not questioning what is bigger

the thread asked what you would rather happen

and anyone who would rather england win than cov is not as big a fan in my book

simple as that.

And as I say, you are entitled to your opinion of course, even though I quite vehemently disagree.

I have been supporting the City since the 1960's. Don't think anyone can question how big a City fan I am.

i dunno what we are disagreeing about

you cant say a fan who prefers an england win is as big a fan as someone who prioritises cov

there is no debate to be had, lets move on.

Okay. Agree to disagree, cos that is exactly what I am saying.

I would say I am as big a City fan as anyone on the planet, but there you go.

Thought you were going to let it lie.

FFS, this is hard work. ST holder for many, many years, been going up since the 1960's, used to go to all the reserve games + youth games and have every bit of City merchandise going. Used to cry with every City defeat and it still ruins my weekend every time City lose to this very day.

How that makes me a liar I will never know. I am no liar, I am City through and through. Anyone who knows me will know how much the City mean to me. I even missed my own brother's wedding to go up the City for a game.

Been pissing about with you a bit, but I do take umbridge at being called a liar. No-one can doubt my love of my club.

After we've finished comparing dick sizes shall we leave it people, neither of you is right or wrong, it's a matter of opinion and one that will never be agreed on by all,

Back to supporting Cov and or England...

Any way back to the subject. Just read that swansea tried to get him on loan last year, so guess he's out of our league

Totally agree. Neither is right or wrong. Just opinions.

I am therefore not a liar. Just had to add that in. ;)

Happy to leave it and move on. Everyone has their own thoughts. Doesn't make them right.

Okay, so, Sterling? Any chance for us you think anyone?

Yeah maybe they don't feel he's ready for the Prem yet, a season at a high end league one club might be just what he needs (if you call us high end). Mate of mines a Liverpool fan and I swear he thinks of this lad like the new saviour, very very highly rated

He would get a regular slot here for sure. Championship may mean bench for the lad as he's so young. Here he'd be a veteran.

I have a good friend who's a Liverpool fan as well, he came into my pub and made me YouTube every video of him and told me he is the next Stevie G and how amazing etc etc.. To get an idea of my friend, he will be taking a week off work when Stevie G retires, not even kidding.

So, without opening a can of worms, a future England international? If so, how soon? We could do with him for 2014.

If we did, then I would begin to believe we might have a good season, if he's as good as they're saying he is.

rev-i have no problem with equally...its those who prefer england to city.

I'd prefer England to win the world cup.
Also be aware that I'm a season ticket holder and go to 10 plus away games a season. Whilst some people, no names, get tickets on the cheap and refuse to buy season tickets.

Why are we still discussing a player that someone has quite clearly made up a rumour out of nowhere from?

I might start a thread about us getting Messi on loan just do people discuss it. :)

Please stop posting daft rumours. It's getting the hopes up of a bloke in my office, and his deluded optimism is wearing thin. You say a player name and he gets so excited he has to change his pants. To return him to the status quo I have to inflict multiple chinese burns to him. It's becoming tiresome.

Plus he thinks john fleck is "amaaaazing" but has never seen him play. Dotty as a dalmation!

Perhaps it marks some financially prudent signings, Sterling, Dollar, Yen, Krona, Rupee (Euro failed the medical).
