I don't get people who say that the ref wasn't the issue, I mean if the fella who scores their 2nd is sent off when it's 0-0 then it;s a very different game.

Correct. The ref set his stall out when he booked Eccles for kicking the ball away
If he applies consistency and does his job properly, it's 0-0 and they've got an hour with 10 men.

No way we come away with a defeat.

If we're more or less at full strength, we'll win tonight imo. Both of our losses have come about when we've had absences due to injuries/suspensions. We've not actually lost a game this season 'at full strength'.

Sirius give me a good example of complacency.
We are leaking like a sieve right now
I missed the part where BSB managed or played for CCFC. Does fan complacency matter, or more to the point can you even refer to a fan as complacent? Is it possible to be complacent over something you have no control over?

Also depends how bad the pitch is. Preston is only about 20/30 mins away and the weather seems to be awful up there.

Looks like a good game to bring Kastaneer back?

Its the Blackburn pitch that is the issue... hasnt been replaced for decades... i live just north of preston and it has been raining this morning but stopped just after lunch...can't see there being any issues...see everyone there!

He's one of the posters that cannot stand anything positive. He's not alone but certainly one of the more prolific ones.
We were literally minutes away from breaking our own consecutive clean sheet record this season. Yes we have coughed up poor goals especially from set pieces, I have my usual diatribe on those which is that loads of teams have made this more difficult by over complication and swamping the keeper.

Ellis Simms has been blamed for not doing well enough defending corners and free kicks. It’s not his fucking job is it? Or at least it shouldn’t be.

I've not seen the Simms stuff, it's everyones job to defend a set piece though isn't it? Or at least everyone that is being asked to. I don't know the context of that particular debate though. Did he fuck up at Ipswich as i've not really watched the goals back?

My point is in asking everyone to do so including centre forwards, you’re increasing the chances of a fuck up.

We all have our fetishes Clint. Mine just happen to involve leaving more players up at set pieces.
You might be right on that although there must be some data somewhere. Although i don't agree on centre forwards no being asked, they are usually pretty tall and should be good at heading. It's the absolute short arses you'd want to leave up if anything, traditionally the pacy wingers.
