Preston Match Thread

Why is he playing four centre halfs when we have at least one natural LB on the bench, and I see we are back to playing with no wingers again. The new lad scored last week and doesn't even make the squad this week???.

I was hopeful but that squad is strange, expect a lot of side ways passing and the game getting bogged down in the centre.

Can't believe he wouldn't be in the squad if he was fit, didn't see the barton swap coming. Haynes has been struggle defensively, also no johnson and preston strong in there air though that willis/Pennington would play left back

His persistance with webster grinds my gears , if the ref never wrongly blew for that slip on saturday he wouldve cost us 3 points , should have started with willis , pennington , martin and haynes , pennington is a far better centre back than webster

Possibly could be another forced change as Finch hasn't made the bench today, either that or just Pressleys brilliant management at work again.
 
I'm changing my prediction of 2-1 city to 3-1 Preston after seeing that squad selection. I can only think Pressley thinks having four centre halfs on the pitch will help deal with crosses coming into the box which let's be honest Webster needs all the help we can muster.

Yep, Williams also at ST despite everyone who has seen him play say he is an attacking midfielder. Samuel and Nouble playing just off Williams and midfield 3 of Barton, Fleck and O'Brien.
 
Should have started turgott , o brien , williams and fleck in midfield with nouble and samuel upfront

Samuel was really good as central striker last week and has already been shifted around.

No idea tbh, CWR said at the start it was a standard 4-3-3 to begin with with Williams as central ST and Nouble, Samuel playing wide either side of him. Now they aren't sure if its 4-3-3 or not.
 
What channel are the city on now then because wasps have centre stage

If you have a dab radio you have to change it to fm, look for a button that says mode or function and then tune it in to 94.8

Ok , why on earth have we been moved to accomodate wasps
 
not impressed can't hear the match now they have took it off DAB.....going to have to sit in my car.

I know it's a a few years off......but happens after the digital switchover, and us and wasps are playing at the same time?

Yea Wasps are away today and kicked off at 3:15
 
Never ever give Kevin Davies space to head like that!

Chip into the box by Gallagher who's always looking dangerous on the ball, Burge comes but Davies is left on his own with Webster static and it's a terrible goal from our view, clever from theirs.

And the lead up came after Webster took forever to take a free kick for us and when he did we conceded possession easily
 
sky just said its his 1st goal in 46 games. He last, against us !

Because he is better than our players. Davies scored assisted by Gallagher. Both players are better than any of our players so simple imo.
