That Jota penalty however is everything that's wrong with football & VAR.
In real time you can see why Taylor thinks it's a penalty but VAR has to intervene surely. The argument will be there is contact & so therefore not a "clear & obvious error" but that contact has not forced him to fall or even inconvenienced him really. What happened to "contact with consequence"?
Sums up why VAR is utterly pointless & actually damaging credibility & decision making leading to more flak for referees rather than improving it.

Watching in real time you could see there was contact but never enough to give a pen. That dive was terrible and he should have been booked.
