If spurs go down they’ll have to sell some players in the summer. I wonder how much is Udogie in the window?

Hamer has more assists than any player in the division. People saying he wouldn’t get in ahead of the players we’ve got are performing massive cope.

he’s better than Eccles ?
Yeah he is. But do you want someone better than Eccles to sit on the bench or do you want someone better than grimes and Onyeka to put them on the bench.

Don’t think current Hamer is better than Grimes and Onyeka plays a different role in the squad that Hamer couldn’t imo.

Worth a gamble - he is decent when going up for a cross, but always has his hands out to his side which is dangerous with VAR. If I was going to go for a theological icon I’d maybe go for Moses, always seems to have oceans of space to play in and has shown an ability to carry a team all by himself. Or maybe Ganesh if we can’t get Rushy. All those extra arms would be a big advantage.

He has the best technique I've seen of any City player in years, but he needs to shed a stone/get properly fit before we ought to consider him again. That's unlikely, given his 'shape' over the last 12 months. Great player, though.

Can see us going into next season like this:

GK (Rushworth)

Van Ewijk - Thomas - CB - LB

DM - Grimes

RW - Rudi - EMC

ST
Bench:
Dovin, CB, Dasilva, KKH, Onyeka, CM, Sakamoto, AM, Wright

Reserves: Wilson, Kitching, Eccles, Markelo, (Simms / new young ST)

My post above suggests 9/10 signings including Rushworth if we can get him which seems about right, as for the wings it depends who we face opening day if its a big boy I can see Saka starting and EMC on the bench with the new winger on the left

Stats speak for themselves really in an average Champ team famed for poor fitness discipline. Sure he could be fitter but even unfit he’s leading the charts 🤷🏻‍♂️

Whatever changes Frank Lampard decides to make, the squad is going to need to be a lot bigger in quality. 🤔

If we start the season like that and we have other options I suspect it will change quickly as some of these will become rotation/bench options. I think Grimes may struggle with the pace at which PL teams close down and I'm also unsure how effective EMC will be as well as he's not that quick. Thomas needs to cut out some of the lapses of concentration too.

However, I think Sakamoto's workrate and assistance from VAR could mean he gets a decent amount of gametime as a rotation player. I also expect Onyeka to start next season due to his athleticism and I can't see us spending part of our budget upgrading a player we've just bought for £8m.

That was a team I’d put forward for a winnable game, the games against the bigger teams I’d put Onyeka and Saka in for EMC and Grimes, I think EMC would win a lot more free kicks and penalties, he’s got quality, flair and power
