I don't know what to expect. Its a tough place to go always, particularly on a night in midweek I think. They beat Boro there recently... but then on the flip side we're obviously better and they also managed to lose at home to Sheffield Wednesday.
Genuinely don't know what to expect from this one.

I think al football fans, when they're doing well, have a sense that it's all about to crash down, especially when you're used to a team not having success. Every game I have been thinking that this will be the one that we lose and it keeps not happening. Obviously it will at some point, every team loses a few. I think this season is very different from the last 2/3, we lok good all over the pitch. I actually think we should win this, the boys will out for revenge.

Can’t believe people would drop Saka over EMC. Think EMC has been very meh recently.

I have no idea how fitness management works for games like this. Whatever the iPads say I guess.

EMC very meh recently 😕

The 2 goals came from he's Crosse's. 😎

Sounds mad to be negative with the results we’ve had, but just feel we’ll come unstuck in this game. Hope I’m wrong.
Tbh, I have a bad feeling about this one too. I thought Pompey were good last night and they’ll be full on. The sort of team we struggle to cope with.

I like Tats and I don’t know if I’m imagining it, but to me he doesn’t seem to perform as well in away games. Anyway, I’ll leave it for Frank to decide 😊

I’m sorry but all the fretting over a team with Marlon Pack and John Swift in midfield is ridiculous.. change your mindset people, you need to if you want to go up automatically
Did you see them vs Leicester yesterday…and us vs Blackburn now I come to think about it.

If we play more like the second half yesterday we should get a result, more like the first and Rushworth will need to earn his corn.

I agree with you CKNQ.

I also more importantly wish the term 'meh' could be banned from UK forums - it's an import from The Simpsons and is up there with 'my bad' and 'coming this fall' in creeping Americanisation.

Yiddish apparently. Language is fun man, don’t have a cow.

Had a niggling feeling for a while this will be our first defeat and cant even say why
I can… same ref as we had for Norwich…..

(Not that you can really blame refs but he will either give something or not that will have an impact on game after the last performance)

Looking at some of the other fixtures on Tuesday our game is a must not lose rather than a must win. If we can get all three points it will a great result as no matter on the other results we will take points off the chasing pack.

Hull v Leicester
Ipswich v Charlton
Millwall v Stoke

Some going to be guaranteed in the top 2 even if we lose on Tuesday though.

The one phrase I fucking hate hearing when people order something is "can I get...." what does that even mean (other then that they're rude and easily influence by dross 'americanisms'.

Also, cov to win 2-0 again

Think it’ll be a tough game, but on the other hand Pompey have one win in the last six.
Everyone says every game is a tough one.
Its just become a mantra routinely trotted out before every game, and means nothing now.

Look at the league table, look at recent form, look at what the bookies odds are, look at the goals scored and conceded, look at the top scorers. Make a team out of both squads and see which team has the most players in it.

Then make an informed decision.

This is the weirdest complaint IMO. You’ll happily say “I’m popping to the shops can I get you something?” But have an issue saying can you get something to the person getting it? Is it because it should be “can you get?” You still get the objects from your perspective. I dunno man, seems pretty reasonable.

I don't think last seasons result here will affect them, but i hope they use it to go into this one wanting nothing less than a win. That needs to be our mindset now going forward, if we want to be a top team. So far this season, it seems as though that's exactly what is on their minds, the focus and hunger combined has been brilliant. Go for the win and if we can't get that then don't lose.

I hope we stick to the first 11 whenever possible, if the players say they are good to go then no need to change it up. It keeps those on the bench hungry to prove themselves and keeps those on the pitch in form, knowing they have good players waiting to come in.

Frank is going to have to manage Rudonis minutes until he gets up to speed having such a long lay off!
Think we are gambling on Rudoni that his shoulder will last until the end of the season. Frank said he is having difficulty in the gym with it. Lets hope the calf problems can be cleared up and he can last out.
There are many examples where nursing an injury with an operation at the end of the season has worked out, but also instances where it has made matters worse (the Newcastle centre back whose name escapes me). Think it was Botman.

Not worried about Pompey ability wise; it's more about whether we're up for a 'scrap'. Stand up to the physicality. The baldy left back will try and kick lumps out of Saka, and Colby Bishop (albeit limited) puts his head in where it hurts. The Korean, on loan from Spurs, is their main source of inspiration/class, with John Swift decent on his day.
