I do like to watch rugby Union played until last year.

I used to go to all the City home games and play Rugby when they were away choosing to go away over Xmas period.

May have a run out later in the year when the vets play their game.

I too was pretty shit at football.

I used to play rugby until a few years ago, when I did the ligaments in my knee. Played for Warwickshire at one point.
Now I am at uni I play Lacrosse, a game I thought was for those who are a bit soft when I started, but I can catergorically say it is the most physical game I have ever seen played or played.

Being a kiwi, and having only moved here in 2012, I've only been to a handful of the Ricoh, awful atmosphere, so negative. Nothing but people getting mad about thing, put me off football pretty much.

I'm down to watch the rugby team when i can, its a good laugh. Not the standard Im used to back home, but competitive nevertheless.

Love cricket too, and recently been introduced to a club i can probably have a 2nd or 3rd team run out with over the summer.

Cycling is also awesome, i did a two day 140 mile charity ride last year and loved it. Love watching it too.

UFC is my little secret passion though. Been watching it since 1999 when Ortiz failed to win the belt. Love it.

Forgot to mention ice hockey. Been to see the Blaze a couple of time. It is the wierdest atmosphere, almost like everyone there has learning difficulties.

Now now, no need for nastiness

I've always preferred playing rather than watching sports. I was the king at Handball goalkeeper ;)

But the only sport I really watch without fail is football.

Only watch the England 6 nations and Rugby World Cup, but even then find them quite boring most of the time.

If CCFC ceased to exist, I would probably watch Bournemouth as I did when I was too young to travel to Cov, but the only team that would ever mean anything to me is CCFC

Don't mean to be nasty, just felt extremely weird. We're sat near a woman who looked like ozzy osbourne, the rudest person I have come across in a long time. Her husband in his late 40's was 'high fiving' the guys in the seats below. Everyone just seemed like a bit of an outcast. The music and subsequent Gang-Nam dancing made my stomach turn almost as much as the hotdog.

The sport in general is watchable, and apart from ozzy osbourne, it was nice to be around positive sport spectators.

Which block were you in? Think I've got an idea of who you're talking about!

You're spot on in your guessing. Security guard told me she is notoriously rude, and quite infamous for it.

Any sort of Football, I go to Cov away games only since the move to Shitfields but before that I was a season ticket holder for 2 years. I go to see Nuneaton regularly when Cov are in Northampton. Big fan of F1, not so much since Vettel started ruining it, into Rugby too. Got quite a liking for WWE (that's more sports entertainment rather than sport). Tbh I like all sports except for the boring ones (Golf, Cricket, Bowls etc)

Have you seen football fans? They look, act and are far worse.

I don't post much on here anymore as I've kinda stopped watching football. I still watch Ice Hockey and Rugby (cup/six nations), but a few months ago I was just sitting at a football game and it just sort of hit me how boring of a sport it really is. At first, I just thought maybe it was down to the level we're at, but I then watched a few other different games from different leagues. I just find it boring now.

I'd say football the most exciting sport in that anything can happen in a second. whereas rugby etc, it's built up gradually. Look at the JPT vs PNE, 2 quick goals in 2 minutes to win, you don't see that in other sports

It's rare you get exciting games like that though. Rugby is a slower build, but I don't think ice hockey is at all. The smaller playing area makes it a much quicker and versatile game where you can literally score within' seconds.

That's true, I've never been to an Ice Hockey game, so it's unfair to comment, would like to tho :)

And agreed about the rarity of football games. I think there was a triple sunday on SS once, and there was 2 or 3 goals scored in 3 games lol

Darts for me. Playing and watching. My game has slipped a bit lately so need to get that back. Occasionally go up the bees, never been to the rugger but to be honest if coventry had a tiddlywinks team id support them

The forward lines have been moved around but I'd go:
LW: Adam Henrich
C: Ryan Ginand/Cale Tanaka
RW: Shea Guthrie
Capt: Ashley Tait
Ass Capt: Russ Cowley and Adam Henrich

We're always playing catch up against the arena teams (Belfast, Nottingham, Sheffield and Braehead) but we're a match for any of them on our day. Just lack consistency.

Been to the Blaze a couple of times, although not in the last few years. Seriously impressed with the skating abilities of all of the players - there are some properly big units out there, and they all seem to have incredible pace and balance. How anyone could have a fight on ice skates is beyond me!

I'm guessing the 'arena' teams basically play at bigger venues, and therefore have more support/money. Is that about it?

Drilled in to the players from birth that hockey's the way to go. Especially across the pond, Scandinavia, Baltics and Soviets. Our current players will get their kids on the ice as soon as they can walk!

Pretty much bang on. Braehead holds 4500-5000, Notts 7000, Belfast 8000 and Sheffield 9000. Us, Cardiff, Hull and the 3 'poorer' Jock teams are playing catch up from the off really. Will get more interesting soon when London/Wembley along with at least one other (Telford probably) come into the league next year.
