It hit a hand. The ref guessed and like a lot of his decisions he got it wrong.

Having one stand in a stadium doesn’t help. Makes it easy for the refs to rule 50:50 decisions against us. No doubt many will disagree, but we don’t have a 12th man in any game this season due to circumstances. (I’d argue we didn’t have one at the Ricoh either).

We need a long term ground that suits us and one we can create an atmosphere that means some of these marginal decisions go the “home” sides way.

Other than last week, and the week before, etc, etc.

There have been some true shockers this week.

It's every week. Does anyone know how referees progress and how they get to the heights of league 1 vs the referees who do the circuit in the conference for example. The standard of referees overall damages the credibility of whoever is in charge of the profession.

Again he was crap, never a Yellow on McFadz. Didn't see the problem with O'Hare's goal. Should have been at least one pen.

We have had some very poor decisions go against us but some of our fans suggesting there’s a conspiracy against us are laughable sounding like Leeds fans

The foul for O’Hares goal was the same foul on McCallum which he didn’t give a penalty for...seems fouls in the box need to be cynical to be given these days.VAR would of helped us today

Where's that being said then, on twitter? Certainly not on here.

My issue with it was the fact he couldn't see that Accrington were playing for the fouls.

Perfectly good goal ruled out and a clear penalty not given, he didn’t want us to score as much as the Accrington manager! Fucking wanker

'Why can’t referees be sacked?' - Oxford boss wants 'horrendous' official axed

Not the first time he's had a shocker. If I was that bad at my job I'd not have one. He should be ashamed... it seemed like as soon as he got booed following the McCallum penalty incident he decided he was giving us nothing. He was absolutely in their pocket. Horrific display.

Smiling now, but he really had a bit of a shocker - think that's the most I've ever booed at an official during the game (and normally, I rarely do)

It’s going to ruin the game. People will stop turning up if they know the game will be ruined by terrible officiating all the time. Time to pay, evaluate and discipline them properly.

Or Bakayoko for missing 3 relatively easy chances.
Blame the officials (yes he wasn’t great) for our own deficiencies seems to be the way.

Agreed we shouldn’t of needed the officials today 3 good chances missed & that’s before I get started on the 2 occasions he couldn’t grasp control of the ball with no one around him.

A fair ref and we win. A decent striker and we win. Blame them both, don’t let one off because you want to defend the other.

I thought this after the game, we play some lovely stuff at times which is good entertainment, the officials ruined the game today

Yet again a clear handball missed.

Deal with it, the officials are awful. They just get away with it though, nothing gets said to them.

Won’t mention names but an ex city player said afterwards to us if the referee assessor was there (and he should) then the said referee may be having repercussions coming his way.

it’s a hard job being a ref but that performance went past acceptance.

Honestly can’t see it being that today... they had 200 fans and we had 5000 fans absolutely raging at him, if ever there was gonna be a helping hand from a 12th man I’d have said it would have been today... he was just utter garbage & once we got on his back about the first few bad decisions he made a point of giving us nothing! He really shouldn’t even be reffing a game of kids footy
