£7m was rumoured from Liverpool. If its more than that the club will be certain to let it leak so they don't look like total amateurs.

Bizarre. You could go to Spurs or Liverpool...premier league possibly Europe OR you go to Norwich ...premier league or more probably championship. I just don't get it for Madders or ccfc

Maybe, but I guess it's a deferred deal in may respects. We'll have him until the end of the season and we'll have some cash to spend then. Had he not gone today he probably would have gone in the summer which is pretty much what we're getting with this deal. Had he gone today and then not been loaned back, then that would have been a weird deal.
