I heard that Wilson was being shown round Sheff Wed a week or so ago. Comes from a source that knows the manager and other current staff up there. Apparently they are also looking at two other strikers and Wilson wouldn't be their first choice.

this pre season is mirroring the pre season before we got relegated losing all irreplaceable key players on our budget, ravaging the first team and squad. With different owners me might have even at least seen 1/3 of wilsons transfer fee reinvested back into building the squad, but alas.

Decent Midfield but need bodies to challenge them for spots, really need a leader, stupidly light up front. With that team we will go down as we won't score enough goals.

Why does George Thomas get a game ahead of Daniels? Daniels can play striker and has actually scored goals at this level.

Don't know why I care, it's not like either of them will play up front at the moment.

Hope not. He's certainly not a left back.

Its possible the new "left sided centre back" could be playing at left back

Is it possible that we might actually sign a left back? I know it's a shot in the dark...

So far now the outs and ins are not too bad......this is factually where we are at this moment in time.
Looking at players last season that we owned on full time contracts

Out: Murphy, Moussa, Adams.
In: Swanson, O'Brien

I realise Christie and Wilson probably gone but not confirmed yet - and if Wilson does
go we will get two players in for one going out.

Not as bad as doom merchants like to make out and still time for more signings for sure.

We do need Left Back cover, a bit more depth in midfield and certainly a few forwards in but sure Pressley is on the case
in these areas particularly up front anyhow he has to be!

Johnwillowmagic, us 'doom merchants' are doomy because we don't play in our home city. With no prospect of doing so for years to come.
Forgive us.
That's Murphy, Christie, Adams, Moussa, Wilson, Delfeneso, Ecclestone, Marshall, Robinson, Petrasso, the bloke from Wednesday I can't remember the name of, the much vaunted youth team boss and one or two others, all gone. So far we've got in two injury prone wingers. Yep, happy days. And most City fans won't ever see these new players.
So, just forgive us for being doom merchants.

What I will say, is that I like SISU's style when it comes to managing the team: sell high; buy low. But (hopefully) buy quality low. It's all to be seen - we certainly are very very (very) short of proven goalscorers presently - but a loooooooooooooooooooooong way to go.

Hate SISU's style when it comes to emotional blackmail and trying to take the piss out of the taxpayer - but hey, nobody's perfect.
