Given the last fiasco involving a bet when I was told my charity wasn't good enough I'm somewhat reluctant but this seems a banker to me.

So what is it - 35 games in the league?

Ok I will do it as well. Pleased confirm acceptance.
What charity is that?

I on a bet last season and it was like pulling teeth - an animal charity they didn't count apparantly and I should have reconsidered. He paid in the end but it was just not pleasant.

He's already said he wants a tear up in the centre circle of the higgs pitch with you this year at the christmas party.

Yes bang on 35 league games.
You can choose any legitimate charity of your choice. I don't know about your previous one.
Would have thought the bloke who called me a tit for suggesting we need someone else to support Doyle.
Would have had the guts to accept the bet like you and Astute did.
Confirms what I suspected. Gives it large then shrinks when it comes to backing it up. My charity will be Myton btw just in case you or Astute feel like throwing in the towel early.

I was one of his best fans when he was first here but sorry 6 years later no having said that nothing would please me more than him to prove me wrong(we need some good news)

Pulling teeth is never pleasant, especially not when it's a Rottweiler chewing a wasp.:emoji_poodle:

I am not convinced with Michael Doyle as from the few times I saw him play he seemed to specialise in giving the ball away and then fouling the player when trying to get the ball back but at least we are not waiting to sign players at the start of pre-season or 2 weeks into the season like we did with Mowbray. It would be good to strart pre-season with all or the most of the squad in place

Doyle is over the hill
that is all
I've changed my mind, had a few beers last night and TBH for me 'there's always an element Of Meh"
attached to any signing we make, just down to the "why would they come here if they were any good.
Looking at this in the cold light of day, and providing his fitness is good this looks a very shrewd bit of
Business, hopefully a sign of things to come with MR at the helm.:emoji_thinking:
I had a good drink last night too, but didn't think about the Club once.

Talking of animal charities did you ever pay the cinnamon trust or are you still accusing me of trying to extort money from you on behalf of an animal charity?

Anyhow, back on to Doyle.

He'll either play almost every game and be awesome or he'll pick up an injury early doors in the season forcing him to hang his boots up.

I thought it was, I hate Leon Clarke even more now! Haha (at least it's for a good cause).

Remind me how much and I'll post a screenshot on here of the donation.
Think it was £20.

How many years ago was his last injury?

I would normally not be happy with signing someone of his age. But you can't dispute the amount of games he has played in recent years. If we could have a whole team playing the same amount we would put out the same team frequently.

Robins might be looking at a few more Portsmouth players! Working on a theory that they have done it before , it takes special sort of mentallity it to live a war of attrition over a seasons campaign

Agreed. In the main. Just worried he's overdue one and with our luck it's bound to in the first few weeks and we never see him play again.

Bloody Hell Not the Doyler!

He was a symbol of our decline for years and that partnership with Hughes-meh!

I'll not judge him until the season starts but REALLY are there no other destroyer types that are in their late twenties?

Taking a 35 year old is a massive gamble. What a statement by Robins....

Let's face it, we are now in Division 2, all we are going to get are crocks and oldies looking for their final hoorah's.

Michael Doyle has played 100% of City's games so far in the league. At this rate, Don should be paying his £20 by the Lincoln game on the 3rd of March.

Why would you look at Doyle’s injury record and think he wouldn’t play most games this season?

Fine, I'll take that . Though what you're suggesting is that he's Joe Cole who doesn't play cos he isn't fit rather than he might miss 25% of games through one injury.

Right had to take him off ignore for a minute to get this.
This is where he accepted the bet then tried to add terms and conditions.
He was called out on that and told never came back to accept the bet was black and white like Grendel and Astute did.

Where is he adding terms and conditions? Isn't he just trying to surmise what he thinks you are saying?

He’s not adding terms. His first sentence takes the bet. Are you wumming or genuinely being thick?

There was no adding any terms. He said he would take it, then added what he thought you were trying to say

You have brought it up to try and discredit him as well.
