I think the model will alter slightly now, club will try and balance age and experience with the cost benefits of staying in the league... 16 mill plus over 2 seasons in the championship over bringing in really young lads who may or may not be a hit..I get your drift but that’s not the club’s style. We’d look to use that money to get an asset that’s going to give us a return on investment. Sinking that much money into a 1-year deal for someone with a questionable injury record would be on par with 2002-2005 levels of stupid.

But we’re not skint. We’ve had a huge increase income which wouldn’t have been budgeted at the start of last season.It’s more the assumption we’re skint so any attacking signing would be a loan and we are limited on loans.
