I really hope that Nuneaton Borough do not go out of business:-

1. It would be awful for all concerned with their club
2. Their ground would be available as an option for Sisu to move us there

Norman Smurthwait owns the ground doesn’t he not Nuneaton borough?

Wasps will probably make an assessment over the costs and risks of hosting CCFC against the monetary returns. I would guess that costs will be significantly greater than at present for less commitment in maintaining the pitch for football usage.
It’s wider than that though isn’t it, if Wasps are flat refusing then they risk being the bad guys and potentially could affect future fans walking through the turnstiles

Can't really blame news about ccfc or give it as a potential reason for no stadium deal and not mention the fact that them providing faked evidence to auditors may also be off-putting?

You may not mean to, but in this thread you are coming across as an intelligent version of Italia. (In the nicest possible way).

Now its my turn is it Nick ? I dont need that crap thank you.

Just putting ideas and reasoning out there for others to consider. Will leave it at that. Have a good weekend all and here is hoping for a win tomorrow.

Turn? Was only really pointing out how it is coming across.

The ideas are all how ccfc are baddies and wasps aren't, exactly the same as when Italia would rock up. Ccfc negative stuff in the news given as a reason for no stadium sponsorship is a perfect example.

Its all well and good people saying where's the new stadium, where's wasps new kicking barn?

Not saying anybody is an innocent party or that ccfc shouldn't have to pay their way either. All baddies, all deserve each other and in both cases it's the fans who suffer.

Both sets of owners and the council are all as bad as each other. I wouldn't lose any sleep if any of them went bust and had to live the rest of their days in a bedsit.

That's why they start the pr early, same as they did with the higgs.

So are you saying that SISU's latest tactic is to "play the victim"?

Not sure too many people will be convinced by that tactic. I would expect the majority to think it's two dodgy organisations having a squabble.

I think it probably is to be honest, knowing they were going to lose this case the statement clearly indicates we have only one plan and then that falls to wasps. Clearly the public’s attitude towards SISU isn’t positive so they will have a impossible job of convincing them

Yep, that statement last night was very poor and obvious.

They could have said we want to stay weeks ago just as we started the new season. Put out intentions early then.

Sisu aren't a victim, ccfc are.

On a train so shit internet and can't google. Who's this guy and why is he relevant?

He’s owns Port Vale but is originally from Coventry. I’m not sure what his long game is with borough but I understand he was invited to purchase the ground and it had to be ratified by the FL given his involvement with Port Vale. Not sure what his connection is with borough or the people behind borough and how he came to be invited to purchase the ground. Think he made his money in real estate so maybe his interest is purely commercial.

All part of the negotiations ! I’m sure wasps are just trying to squeeze a bit more out of us for a longer rent deal. This is of our (Sisu’s) making, played hard ball and lost...several times ! Now they are up against a similar type of organisation. Sure it will get sorted if the money is right

Ps what happened to the numerous alternative sites we were lining up ?!! If the football league had any balls they’d be having words

The Nuneaton fans seem to think it is property related (only seen a few). It's all a bit weird.

He's trying to get out of port vale isn't he?

I wonder if we tag him in he will respond?

He’s had a bad day and clearly doesn’t have a cat to kick so he’s trying to take it out on posters instead. It was just your turn. Probably mine now.

Not really, was only pointing it out. Pretty obvious really if you read the thread.

Had a decent day so far :)

I do hate cats though, not so much to kick them.

I think it’s been officially for sale since they were relegated to league two.

I mean, we can call a spade a spade and just say he's a bit of a bellend and a power trip nazi, right?
You can if you want. Where's the power trip though? Normal members pointed out your account without any powers.

No doubt you will be vanish after this dies down the same as the rest of them have.

It's not my fault people are so blatant.

If you think our boat trip to Charlton had issues don't google the Wasps players end of season boat trip!
Yeah but Reid bought a new car remember.

To try and say all the negative press is purely ccfc is madness.

That's not saying there is no negative press for ccfc, there clearly is. Especially with the extra push it seems to get...

How it came across to you. Says more about you than OSB to be fair mate. His posts are better informed and sourced than the vast vast majority on here on any side. If you’re finding them not to your liking it’s likely not the fault of the facts he presents.

Not really just to me, all very leaning towards wasps being the goodies and ccfc the baddies.

Only have to read them to see that in this thread which is why I just replied in here about the posts in the thread.

Never said they aren't put across well or better informed. A post can be well written and factual but still very much give a certain impression / view.

If only the telegraph could afford that. :)

Ps. That's not saying any party haven't been baddies, it's pointing out it isn't just them.

Yes it is two dodgy organisations having a,squabble, but SISU's case doesn't hold water and Wasps hold the aces.

But we all know Seppala will go the extra punch drunk round.

We can't forget that as stadium owners London Wasps make money from contracts given out to the F&B people, naming rights, the hotel, the casino etc. without a quarter of a million football fans these contracts are going to be worth a lot less when they come up for renewal so even if CCFC don't contribute a lot to London Wasps' coffers then the indirect value is still significant and they know that.

The judgement is an interesting read (to me), ref 20 and 63 state that Higgs had the real power in the sale transaction, as they made it clear they would only sell to Wasps. I suppose one of the bigger mistakes Joy has made was to annoy the Higgs charity.

Big blow for sisu they surely know they will never get the Ricoh time to sell up and piss off ???
