Manchester City to Doug King , Vote for us & you can have Mfuni for free,.....Doug King to Manchester City , we have always had your back :)

No chance of getting Mfuni, they will need all the players they can get when all the big stars leave the sinking ship.

The broadcasters may have to take the rough with the smooth. I doubt they’d be able to do anything given that they are aware of the Premier League rules etc. before any contract is signed.
The broadcaster never take the rough with the smooth. They run the show. The only reason games were on during Covid was for the broadcasters. The reason there are Premier league games on almost every day is down to the broadcasters.

They have already been dealt with by UEFA for breaking their spending rules, I'm not sure if they will look at any new evidence and charge them again.
The whole point of most team sports is that anyone can win on any given day sometimes against the odds and against better teams, the way we won the championship last season against better funded teams, some with better players, embodies that and it is why it was such a memorable, fantastic achievement. What must it be like to be so rich that you can ignore all the rules and buy success and then when you've got there be behind changing the rules to stop other teams trying to do the same. I think the owners, directors & anyone else involved or who knew what was going on should be banned from football for life. They should also be facing criminal charges for fraud.
UEFA lost the case against City after they took it to CAS. If there is new evidence that changes the original decision UEFA will be all over it.

Broadcasters are not going to demand money back and even if they did why would they be given it? There's absolutely nothing in the TV deals that say who has to be in the PL.
This was about immediate expulsion not relegation so there would be less teams in the Prem so less games to cover.

Starting in 2018. If they were withholding information then punish them instantly. Don't them win multiple PL trophies and spend a billion on players.
So you think it's a good idea to punish them before you know what you're punishing them for?

They will be looking for the slightest thing wrong in the process used so they can get away with all.charges or sue them for massive damages.

Rules may have been broken big time, but the big point is nothing illegal has happened. The Prem rules are not part of the law in the UK.

This has been known about for years. Any sponsor would have known what they were getting involved in, and it wouldn't surprise me if any wording of sponsorship contracts makes it difficult for anyone to pull out.

Why do Etihad think they should’ve been involved in the investigation?
They weren’t the ones being investigated.

Incredible amount of arrogance being shown by pretty much every connected to Man City

Thats how the megarich operate in the world we live in, the rules dont apply to them.

I think that's pretty clear. No-one reads past the headline these days, and the headline rarely matches the content of an article.
You are right, except I do actually read past the headline. We are a long way down a road that took us from reporting, to let’s have a heated debate and now moved onto let’s get an emotional knee-jerk reaction.

Infantino was in charge of UEFA at the time and the whistle blower has accused him of blocking attempts to get Man City & PSG banned from the CL.

Of course they are..... they're all the same people
Quite. Also, if they wanted to show they were not part of it then the appropriate response would have been "I can't believe they were doing this in our name, we had no idea, we're ending all association immediately".

Doubling down with a "we're in this together" stance surely proves the PL's point.

While that's true, lets apply a little bit of critical thinking here.

Irrespective of what Burnham's said it's a bad look. The Gulf state is the UK’s biggest trading partner in the Middle East, the GCC also invests billions into the country and there's a free trade agreement which is the process of being legally finalised.

We can't naively pretend that he won't want a very lenient punishment issued to Man City when clearly there's a lot of vested interest in ensuring he keeps the relationship with the Gulf states as positive as possible. His stance goes way beyond what Sheikh Mansour has done for Manchester IMO.

They cant act with impunity just because they politically have fingers in so many pies. This is exactly the reason why states shouldnt directly or indirectly own football clubs.

If I've understood it correctly, the EPL rules rule out any appeals other than their own appeals procedure.
Looks like there might be some issues with the "consultancy payments" alledgedly made to Mancini that were paid with no income tax deducted in the Middle East.

If, as has been suggested, they really related to his MCFC work, that would look like tax evasion and could be of interest to HMRC.

Burnham is not in charge of the Premier League, and let's be honest nobody really wants political interference in sporting competitions, do they?

Well they can't threaten to stop buying arms for the RSF off us because we dont supply them.

This is the issue really. Posters mention that politics and football can't and shouldn't mix.

Well you've got the Vice PM and DPM of a major UK trading partner and serial investor as Chairman of one of the biggest club's in the country.

You're about 18 years too late....

It's a case of people who are so insanely wealthy that they have never had to deal with consequences in their lives finally coming up against them.

They have no idea that there is a rule of law and it applies to everybody and are therefore just crying that someone is out to get them.
Exactly this. Theyre the kid who was never told off by their parents and now acts dumfounded theyve got detention at school.

Aren't they all involved with each other?
So City's owners going through them (Etihad) to throw a load back to further delay/confuse everyone??
State owned club
State owned Airline
???
