Surely their punishment will have to be at least as harsh as Southampton 115

so if they are relegated will both hull and boro get promoted or will it be just 2 relegated from the premier league next season

Knowing boros luck they will lose the final and still go up

last mention of the punishment was around 60 points - part of me reckons they're gonna wait to see how far they're in front of relegation and deduct them that amount to see them finish 17th

It's different competitions so the comparisons are not that relevant really

Isn't the reason it's taken so long is cuz man city have taken the PL to court twice regarding sponsorship and definitions twice and won both cases?
I swear since the original "man city have been charged 115..." They've had them in court over it and won twice.
I wonder how many of the 115 still stand after the PL legal teams go through each charge and adjust data based on the lost legal cases.

I'm hoping for a huge points deduction next season.

Stink the place out, finish on about 10 points but above the other two promoted and Man City :)

If we can mange 17th just once, then there are three teams coming up behind us that will be the new favourites to return and we can start to build towards becoming established in the top flight again.

I would hope instant relegation to League 2 is the minimum they get

We've got a manager that knows the PL inside out, I think we'll end up better placed than most think. (As long as we get the right players)
Hope so, but I'd still snap your hands off for 17th guaranteed right now, however it comes about. Staying up in Y1 is almost as big an achievement as winning the league this season.

There charges are different and the fact there has been no decision after 2 years probably means they have the top lawyers working in their behalf

Great idea. Let's kick Manchester City out of the playoffs.

I've seen this come up a few times. Really hope so
He was due to leave a year or two ago wasn't he? I think it's most likely because he's done everything at City now and probably wants to get back to Spain.

Gulime Baluge (spelt wrong) is close to him and he thinks he's going to go into international management.

Yeah I imagine it's just wishful thinking really, and he's just leaving anyway.
Wouldn't be surprised if the charges are just buried over time.

I think the scale of it is so vast that the implications of them are too large, and there are too many other teams that have won major trophies doing the same sorts of things. It would bring the entire game into even greater disrepute.

I think Wolves and West Ham/Spurs would have thought that.

Haven't the FA already taken Man City to court and lost? They're probably wary of doing it again.

Not sure what your point is? There is no divine right to stay in the league or the three that came up would automatically go down every time. I was referring to becoming established and if you don't think the three you mentioned were established PL teams then not much I can add.

That was the point. They were established PL teams until the season they weren't. Of course no team has a divine right. This season Leeds and Sunderland have bucked the trend and other teams are in trouble.

It only takes a couple of bad signings to put a Prem side in trouble. Make 5 or 6 and you become a Leicester.

Most clubs are making a loss these days. It's difficult to balance the books within the rules.

Be glad when the Man City situation is sorted it’s so boring when every team says what about Man City, even Southampton where theirs has nothing to do with finance.

It is boring with that mantra of What about Man City?

It is normally trotted out by people who haven't got a clue what the investigation is about, its complexities, the process and why it is taking so long.

Also the failure to realise when other teams have been deducted points, their situation has been very straight forward in comparison.

One of the biggest misunderstandings is it is the Premier League sifting through the evidence around the allegations and it is them dragging their heels.. When it is in effect an independent panel of legal and financial experts.

It will still take years mate before any sanctions are made.

I do wonder if Guardiola knows something about the charges hence why he is leaving
That was my thought exactly.
He said previously that he'd leave if they were found guilty.
He's now leaving, and apparently the decision is very close (post season), according to the ITKs
