Fuckin psycho. Glad to see we’ve hit the point where the public rush them. Guns are one things but a knife attack can be put down by a few brave people as this showed.

I wouldn't say putting down someone with a knife is easy at all to be honest.

Is it usual for the area to be closed off this long? Don't mean the immediate area where it occurred as they'll have forensics in there but people who live in the surrounding area are being told to go somewhere else for the night.

with a few of you. It’s one point of attack and only close range. Three or four should be able to get him down. An automatic weapon is much harder come on.

Unless the attacker is a knife specialist they should be quite easily disarmed by 3-4 people but it's still dangerous because it's impossible to tell where the knife will end up.

Whoever tackled him deserve medals.

Of course. Don’t get me wrong. What they did was amazing.

Terrorists are terrorists if they inflict terror. The best response is a swift kick in the nuts and to not be scared. People like these heroes make it harder to attack us in the future.

Just had a look, thankfully can only find one tweet from a nutter claiming it is a false flag and hundreds of tweets from people moaning that there could be tweets claiming it is a false flag.

It's possible that a lot of the false flag tweets don't include #falseflag so they're slipping under the radar. Who knows, Twitter is a cesspit either way.

there's a false Corbyn tweet out there as well.
Some people have no filter, there's a time and a place for this bollocks, (well there's not), but sometimes it just isn't appropriate at all and this is one of them. At least one innocent person has lost their life for fucks sake.

I've seen a couple of false Corbyn posts on social media. I don't like the fella, but fuck me. Who would make up such bullshit under these circumstances?

I'm not sure what's going on here. Did the terrorist have the bag of white powder or was it the civilians?

I was looking at this earlier and if you watch the video closely he pulls out what I am assuming to be a handkerchief or tissue when he is first backing away from the melee so I am guessing he probably just wiped blood off his hand or something. Bit of a weird thing throwing it at that time when walking away but then this is hardly a usual situation.

Fair play to him and all that got involved including the guy in the brown trousers with a massive stick but especially the chap who was still on top of him and had to be dragged off by the Old Bill. Guessing he was trying to pin his arms down and telling the Police that he had a suicide vest on and that's why the armed police officer stepped back into position and as soon as he and the other policeman were clear he double tapped him.

Hats off to all of the emergency services looks like they dealt with this impeccably.

multiple stabbings in Hague in Holland now, no idea of the motivation at the minute but seems a bit of a coincidence.

Yet again, known to the authorities, known links to terrorism.

Knew that would happen as soon as I heard it. Attack during an election, standard conspiracy theory. It will help him, but that’s neither here nor there today.

Condolences to the families of those killed. Was it just one attacker who is now dead? I thought I saw something about multiple people in the early reports?

It won’t necessarily help him. I’m sure there was one before that happened during the last election campaign and it drew attention to the cuts to the police forces.

Hmm, something not quite right here I don't think.

Apparently he had a previous terrorist conviction and was out on licence and wearing an electronic tag following his release.

He was from Staffordshire, so surely it would have been flagged up that he was now in London and in the vicinity of London Bridge wouldn't it? He was apparently attending this prisoner rehabilitation conference where the attack happened . Wouldn't they have checked all attendees for weapons and knives upon their arrival?

This seems like it should have been preventable.

And anyway, in 2013 he received a fixed term sentence of 16 years, whereby he should have served at least half his term. Half of. 16 is 8 and 8 added onto 2013 is 2021.

Seemingly they must have been convinced he had been rehabilitated to a degree in order to allow him to attend this event.

Definitely questions to be answered here.

A tag, if it is a standard one, doesn’t have a GPS tracker so they wouldn’t know where he was at all times and the alarm is only activated if he is not back to his designated ‘house’ at the required time. Usually they are allowed out between 7am and 7pm although like I say that is just a standard tag.

With regards to the weapons they are easily concealed or stashed somewhere before and that is even if they are checked which I would doubt.

With regards to his sentencing that is a complete joke that he is out already and like you say this appears completely preventable.

Imagine being members of the two victims families and hearing all of these details?

Reports coming out that one of the people who tackled him had served time for murdering a school girl.

You just don't know who's walking the streets.

Edit - seems he murdered a 21 year old woman and was on day release yesterday

Then you would have to ask yourself, as the judge recommended that this man should not be released for many, many years, why on earth would they only fit him with a standard tag?

Just being back home at a certain time of night is not going to stop him carrying out any terrorist act at any other part of the day, is it.

Probably because he was considered safe - he could have left weapons outside and gone back to get them

He was in workshops moving with students telling people about life in prison
