The driver hasn't been charged with any drink or drug offences. Is it possible that he has genuinely taken a wrong turn and got caught in a crowd that has turned very hostile very quickly and panicked when his car was attached thus causing the injuries to people?
He clearly hasn't gone down the road at high speed like some of the Christmas market attacks that have been publicised in the past ie 40-50mph.
I'm sure the evidence at the trial will come out and confirm his state of mind before and during the incident and might give a little more clarity on the events.

He's very lucky nobody died (yet). If they do, then I don't think he'd see the light of day again as it sets a dangerous precedent. Whatever the circumstances and justification, there will be outrage with any sentence whatever length. My post was in reference to Pete's on page 1 'Always the brits'. He was trying to be funny about the racists on X or other SM. Not only was it not the time only a couple of hours after the incident, but the fact that someone can revel in the fact it's not someone of the ethnicity that will bait the mouth frothers, is nothing to celebrate or try to win a few likes from. Imo it was ill-judged and unnecessary.
