It also touches on something I was told today, King Power itself is in the shit.

Oh well, the players have a big night out on the piss planned for the weekend, that should cheer their supporters up!
I thought that was all known.

Covid fucked them as it hit their duty free business.

The current situation in the middle east won't help with recovery either.

So I guess that Trump isn't all bad.

It seems like it was known, first I'd heard of it officially.
Though I think this is more than just the hit they took in covid, it sounds like the son not having the old man's business acumen.

Oh yeah. Like any business in trouble it's rarely down to a single issue, but what Covid did to the travel business amplified other problems.

I know it's funny because it's Leicester but I'd be demanding a fucking INQUEST if I supported them. There was a stat pop up on sky the other day -

Sprints...... 23rd
Distance Covered.... 24th
Etc

All effort related stuff. Talk about turning up for a pay packet. None of the players give a shit

Yeah, it's especially bad when you consider the players they actually have on the pitch.

Bollox?

What kind of rivalry do you think we will have with a side 2 levels below us? What's the chance of getting them in a cup?

Next season we're in the Prem. Our nearest rivals will be Villa. We will be their nearest rivals as they will be the only Brummie club left in the Prem. So for me the games I will be looking forward to will be against Villa. It's been too long since the last time.

You are welcome to continue your rivalry with a club that we probably won't play against for a long time if you like. There's even a chance we will never play them again with their situation being as bad as it is.
It is an age thing, but I will hate them more than I ever hate Villa even if they dropped to Bedworth United's level

Combining that with putting players on Champions League money which they then fumbled qualifying for on the final day of successive seasons (2019/20, 2020/21) proper set the rot in

But in your initial post you referred to 'plastic rivalry'.

Villa don't see us as their main rival, so no matter how you feel about it, it's not going to change that.

Are you really going to dispute Villas main rival is Blues unless its backed up by data?!
Different people look at local rivalry differently. To me Villa are our nearest team to play next season and we are theirs. They won't be playing Brum next season because they were shite and we were brilliant. So our game will have the local rivalry adding to the spice.

By your logic Villa and the scabby bastards aren't rivals though , they're not in the same division 🙄

Good to be humble.

Less than a decade ago they were winning the league while we were in the 3rd division.

Who knows what may or may not happen over the course of the next decade.

No matter what we think of Leicester or the "rivalry", you'd think fans of CCFC might care to remember where we've been before casting another team off as "finished".

Look at Sunderland..... its very small margins with the playoff game, but they might make Europe this year.... its not so long ago that they couldn't fight their way out of division 3..... had they lost that playoff game they may well have sacked their manager and lord knows what situation they might be in.
They are in a much worse position than we were when we ended up with SISU. They are rotten from top to bottom. They are worse than skint.

Even their own supporters are very aware that these problems could be the end of their club.

I agree. But my overall point is Villas main rival, by a country mile is Blues.
Not main villa fans won't agree with that.

Newcastle didn't play Sunderland for years I suppose they weren't rivals either?
Here we go again.

Sunderland were not in a great place but were in a much better place than Leicester are. What is your reason that they have just about confirmed a double relegation with the biggest wage budget in Championship history by far?

If honest though, if they went fully tits up and joined the 12 point deduction club, it wouldn't be to the same level as others detriment.
They would appeal to a large number of buyers that could reboot them under new ownership.
Modern stadium, elite level training facilities and quite an asset rich club.
It would be quite a different story to the likes of homeless us or a run down Hillsborough.
70 million losses last year is a shocking number, not least because they were in the prem last year and had prem money to play with. Problem for Leicester is they went full on Leicester and never expected to be ditched back down. Next years finance release based on this year could be eye watering levels of oh shit.
The problem they have is they would be a L1 side where a massive amount of money would have to be put in just to keep them going. This massive amount of money would be against sustainability rules. This could only happen if Top was happy to walk away.

Been going on for a few years now. Macquirie bank is owed a lot of money and could in theory put the club into liquidation over it. They are owed a lot of millions just in interest alone. They have even mortgaged the money owed by clubs for players they sold.

By tour logic ourselves and Villa are not rivals because they have rivals that are in a different division.

I'm going to leave you to it. We will wait for the Villa games and see if you're right. Just like you're agreeing with those that don't have a clue how bad the situation is for Leicester.

Of course it is. On this note it means we don't have a local rivalry because no majority of supporters see us as their rivals.

But the nearest, without doubt, is Leicester. And those on the eastern/North Eastern side of their city that consider Derby or Forest to be their main rivals are in the same position as our supporters who consider ours to be Villa

Bit the majority of Leicester supporters don't see us as their local rivals. So under the point you seem to be making we don't have one.

All I have said is our local rivals for next season will be Villa. This season it was supposed to be Leicester but they were shite. Villa don't have another Brummie side in the Prem now Wolves have gone so the games will have extra spice.

What has the situation at leicester got to do with anything?
They're still rivals 🙄
