We have conceded 16 goals in these 7 games....

That is a goal roughly every third shot on target.

That is very very poor.

Marko Marosi is fine.

Shots & Shots on Target statistics are hugely unreliable, don't dwell too much on them - it's the whole reason Expected Goals (XG) & Expected Goals Against (XGA) were invented.

Our XGA is the worst in the league though...

In a way they both tell the same story. They have a high conversion rate because the chances we're giving them are easy ones from our own mistakes. Not like they're taking pot shots from around the area desperately trying to score. They know they'll get the inevitable defensive error leaving them through on goal, or the ridiculous challenge in the area for the penalty, or the poor zonal defending from corners.

Nope. Lee Burge. That's Lee Burge. RCC is the record clean sheet holder for Coventry City.

Coventry City lining up move for 36-year-old

Coventry City are interested in signing goalkeeper Lee Camp on a free transfer, according to journalist Alan Nixon.

It’s from Alan Nixon, as far as Football League journalists go he’s the most reliable

Re Lee Camp everyone backing him as our saviour.

Well as we have found to our cost in the past - players are often free agents for a reason.

Why? Like for the majority of his career he’s getting paid for not playing.

To play regular games I think he’d have to drop down to the Conference

Burge really is the goalkeeping version of Steve Jacobs. They surely are the worst goalkeeper and outfield player with a century of appearances

He played 36 games for Birmingham last season.

And this season is different in regards to free agents, clubs on the whole are cutting budgets

He was brought in to compete with Marosi for the number 1 spot last season now Marosi gets injured and robins signs a free agent in his late 30s instead of playing his number 2

He was bought in with a long history of being number 2 - goalkeepers rarely get injured compared to outfield players so there is no need for quality cover.

Anyway if Camp comes in he will be replacing Marosi, Wilson will still have his place on the bench.

Guess some #2 keepers accept that but others will be looking to break through and take the top spot. Wonder what the stats are, can't imagine there's a huge number of keepers of Wilsons age who suddenly break through.

I’m not ruling out Marosi playing yet proberly with some sort of mask unless there’s concussion too, he’s a tough cookie.

Wilson will surprise us all and all be a great, box commanding, shot stopping, cross catching gk. he’ll make the England euros squad as a result. Heard it here first . Ok, I’m out of here.

What's Lee Camp's distribution like? Given that we play out from the back and love to send it to our own keeper to redistribute, we either need someone comfortable with his feet or a change in style. I suppose that's the down side of playing like we do - we have more specialist needs than a keeper who can just catch a ball or make a save.
