Adil Nabi used to be fairly highly thought of, also liked Aaron Martin when we had him but presuming we keep all of our CBs he'd be a bit of a pointless signing.

I imagine we'll be in for Williams if we're in L2 next year, he got 12 goals in the 16/17 season. L1 I imagine we'll look elsewhere.

Anthony Grant is interesting. Has looked an excellent DM whenever I saw him, surprised he's on the Posh transfer list.

Philiskirk was ok I thought, was it league 1 or the championship when he was here?

He must've made an impression on you in his one appearance for us. Must've had a great game!

I'd definitely consider some of Peterborough's players. Steven Taylor, Anthony Grant, Jermaine Anderson, Chris Forrester, Brad Inman and Ricky Miller could all do a job for at League One level... if we get promoted that is

I thought he'd played twice. Anyway, he was a reasonable L1 player

Peterborough have a policy where players with only 1 year left on their contract are automatically transfer listed. It doesn’t mean they want to get rid of them.

Agree. I thought it was a mistake of Mowbray to get rid of him. Good centre-back at our level.

Yup he was excellent for Port Vale and was best player on both sides when we played against them 2 years ago. Stand out midfielder player in league 1 then along with fella whos now at Brentford from Walsall.

Went for 6 figures to Posh , I would have him as replacement for Doyler. strange he only played 7 games this year not sure why?

This is the Aaron Martin most fans wanted shipping out because he had been disappointing. Mowbray came in and through injuries put him in and got him back to basics; "just head it and kick it away, other players do the football." Yes he looked half decent.

The fact Mowbray failed to replace him with better doesn't mean Mowbray was wrong in spotting his frailties.

Totally agree! Looked absolute class when he played against us for PV. Would be top of the list for me.

Well it does as he paid a fee for a player with the same frailties magnified

I mean why wouldn't you let him go when you had such gems as peter ramage as an alternative....

It’s not so simple though. Mowbray highlighted his weaknesses and then spent a six figure fee on a carbon copy but less experienced player.

It was a catastrophic decision

Isn’t Ricky Miller well thought of? Or at least was?

And weren’t we linked to Akinde at some point? Or was it just a possible player we could sign discussed on here?

Wouldn’t mind Steven Taylor at CB either, although we’re well stocked in that area.

Grant could be a good replacement for Doyle as previously suggested.

Isn't Miller awaiting trial for assault?

Just googled it - yes, for assaulting a police officer. Not his first time in court either, although he was found not guilty first time round.

Him and JCH in the changing room could be interesting.

The accounts showed we spent £350 000 the season we bought him - Jones according to Mowbray cost £125,000....

Look Turnbull was a poor signing. But don't try and deflect this into a Mowbray debate. We are judging Martin not Mowbray.

My question is the same: Do You want Martin back?
