I was wondering the same thing. I believe it must mean someones heading out the door before this lad can come in. Begs the question who's leaving?

Didn't Robins say it was the players team that wouldn't release him yet

Is he a starter for them so?
Surely Andreau is off maybe ogogo and brown maybe Doyle on loan to a league two team to free up funds? All are surplus to requirements at the moment?

Yeah. I read it as: the other team need to bring in someone first before releasing their player and ultimately leaving them short for cover.

I must of missed that. Fair play then, hopefully he can keep the squad together. We'll need them all If we have playoff hopes.

It's very likely that Ogogo and Brown are talking to other clubs as they've not been part of recent match day squads
Camwell has been out too
The club wants fees for all three and will get them if they hold out this month
Doyle will go nowhere
He's a future manager here and very important in the dressing room even when not starting

I would be absolutely stunned if Doyle went out on loan anywhere.

Would you risk Brown going out on loan and Mason picking up another injury?

I thought Brown was playing okay, not played since Shrewsbury where I thought only he and Hyam played okay. Is he injured ?

I thought Brown was one of the few who did okay at Shrewsbury too. The only thing I can think of for replacing him since then is that Mason gets forward more.

Fair play to the recruitment team for accepting they’ve made mistakes with some summer transfers and trying to set them right.

None of us know that and looks bad on the bloke to say it on here.
Unless you know for a fact of course.

I wouldn't say they've made too many mistakes. The only one that sticks out is Ogogo really. Could turn out to be an expensive mistake though.

I didn’t realise Brown had been completely dropped, I thought it was linked to an injury/illness.

However, while it’s close, Mason is the better player. Brown looks lost on the ball and worries me defensively. Plus Mason is younger and I imagine on a lower wage, so if there’s not much between them, and he needs to move people out, you can see why Brown is the one to go. Especially as McCallum is rated so highly.

Coincidence or more that both Shrewsbury signings haven’t worked thus far?

Agreed. Plus with Ogogo they played solely to his strengths.
