400k a few years ago and been a regular since... surely means we’ve spent significant money on this one !

Very good on the ball, will play centre mid I'm guessing with Kelly. Similar style to Fleck I'd say, always liked him when he was at Rochdale.

I'm assuming his stats on Wikipedia haven't been updated. No games since 2017-18?

From the Burton website:

Jamie joined Rochdale at the age of eight, rising through each of the junior ranks at Spotland before becoming a first-team regular.

Jamie’s talents were quickly recognised by Rochdale management and he was nominated for League Two’s Apprentice of the Year award in 2013, just prior to signing his first professional deal with the club. His professional debut quickly followed against Port Vale in the Football League Trophy, and his Football League debut was not far behind against Newport County, where he almost scored his maiden senior goal. His first season was capped with promotion to League One, and over the following three seasons Jamie more than played his part in Dale consolidating their place in the third tier. He also became one of Rochdale’s youngest captains, having taken on the armband during 2015. Over his time at Rochdale, Jamie played just under 150 times, scoring 11 times. Jamie was a deadline day signing from Rochdale for Burton Albion in the summer of 2017, a three-year deal and an undisclosed fee securing his services. His first goal for The Brewers came away at Barnsley in the 2017-18 season, winning him the Goal of the Season Award for that season. He also won the very same award the following season for his goal away at AFC Wimbledon.

Didn't Boddy come out and say today that we haven't even received an enquiry about him?

Will probably be pushed into the 10 role or maybe a swap in formation and go 4-3-3

Looks decent. Still need a no.10 though not much creativity unless the wingers pay off

We’re building a team this year around players who scored against them last season

Decent age, plenty of experience and another 3 year contract.
Good bit of business on the face of it.

I think he will be gone this summer. Very hard for any League 1 to retain any prospect. Luton lost a player today for a reported £8m though!

Allen sounds a really good signing. Pleasing to read Burton fans unhappy.

Perhaps we should have played burge at no 10 as he seems decent at setting a few goals up

Very good signing! We needed more depth in CM so he adds that so plenty of options now. Bayliss can be given the freedom of number 10 role.

I don't get them all! I haven't been asking to be honest, I wasn't expecting anything more in June.
