Italian Football

Now confirmed on dazn but pricing hasn't been or the packages on offer don't confirm what you get

That's good news.
Outside of the English leagues, I think Serie A might be the only other league I'm remotely interested in.
It's a bit of a shambles and there isn't as much money floating around as the other European leagues, but I think that's why I like it.

I think i'm similar. Went to watch Fiorentina a couple of seasons ago and liked the fact i could smell tobacco, coffee etc in the stadium and just felt like i was having a saturday afternoon that locals might have. I was surprised how far behind they seemed on the commercial side of things (tiny club shops, seemingly unable to book tickets withoutbpretty much going to the ground). It means they arent competitive but i did weirdly enjoy the retro feel of it all.

I wish they had better stadia though, can't stand running tracks.

I booked Fiorentina tickets this year via their website.

I couldn't work out how when i went (Feb 2025), probably my error but the guy in the city-centre shop said i needed to go the ticket office near the stadium. It was a bit of a pain but actually gave me another excuse to explore a bit.

Yeah, I've read before that some of the stadiums have barely been touched since they were built for Italia 90 due to the lack of infrastructure.

I like there's a quite a few fallen giants floating around the league who don't have huge amounts to spend and it's a place where older Premier League players can get a few more years in before retirement so it feels a bit vintage.

Would like to get to a few games over there in the next few years.

They do make a killing going around selling cans of beer in the stands for - no cards, obviously!

Agree, I’ve had the chance to experience the Genoa v Sampdoria with locals and it was a great atmosphere and experience.

It’s great being able to have a can in the stands in games that are quite empty too.

I’ve done quite a bit of Italian football. It’s easy to get tickets, relatively cheap and the match day experience is great in the North, I’ve not experienced the South. The stadia is mostly dated bar Juventus.
