Based on our record there, and Ipswich's squad, I always thought this was going to be the toughest game of the season. They should have lost at least one player (Hirst or GK), but once they stole the lead they managed it well. KKH I thought showed some promise at times, despite his missed chance and error for the 1st goal.
Kitching was all over the place, and Rudoni is clearly only 60-70% fit.
We missed Sakamoto and BTA massively today.
I thought Haji looked lively when he came on, as did Allen & Andrews.
King must back Frank next month for at least 2 signings,
That or we're recalling Obikwu and Rodrigues.
Frustrating day.
We were under par, but not awful.
Ipswich were sh*te for 40 mins, but got a lucky break. Even though 2nd half was disappointing we still had chances. The Rudoni and EMC shots.

The Brau situation is weird. He was getting minutes earlier in the season, albeit sporadically. Now he's not even trusted to come on when we're chasing a game and Dasilva could probably do with a rest.

Heard he's going back to Spain. He's obviously not up the standard we require

was Hoping we’d get something today but as soon as the team sheet went up got the same feeling as the Wrexham game, we can’t afford to be missing players like Asante, torp and saka at the same time, and Rudoni and haji not fit, one of those maybe, we‘ll be getting some help in January 100% youv‘e only got to look at the bench the last 2 games, just need to get through january still top and we’ll be fine

Taking away all the Referee incidents etc and unfortunately we didn’t really do ourselves justice today. First half was ok but as soon as they scored it gave them the impetus just before the break. Nothing really dropped for us second half and every second ball fell to an Ipswich player. At 2-0 down they were bringing on Jack Clarke and we were looking at Kai Andrews to change things as well as having 2 keepers on the bench aswell 🫤
Nice for the majority to stay behind and acknowledge the great strides of the team and management so far this season. 👏
I’m expecting us to put it right on Tuesday night against Preston as we did after the Wrexham set back previously.

Not going up this year would be a failure.

As in not finishing top 2? Not sure about that being failure. I wanted us to make play offs but more comfortably than the last 2 years. That is improvement and I think that will happen. In fact I have this weird feeling we are going to go up via play offs. So many match winners in the side for a knock out scenario

Not weird really, Lampard obviously doesn't rate him after seeing him in training and the minutes he's had on the pitch.

It answered definitively that KKH is not a winger. He’s a good player but not a wide player you need when chasing a game from 1-0 down.

4/5 of our top goal scorers were out of the starting 11, it’s going to be a tough game for any team in those circumstances.
I think it was about 31 goals missing was it? Undoubtedly more goal involvements

Ipswich could deal with those kind of numbers missing, they will prob spend again in January. I think Frank knows that was a real hammer blow was today.

We have a chance to even the score at our place in a few week but the pressure will all be on us, if we come through it we’re ready

I wouldn’t call it a hammer blow, we’re 12 points clear of them and based on today should beat them at home.

He wasn't bought in as a winger, the only reason people were even asking the question is because of the poor squad depth to begin with.

Thomas and Kitching are a really strong pairing in the 18yd box, but too slow to chase back when a ball's knocked over our high line. I think now, every team knows this is our weak spot and play accordingly.

Exactly, agreed. I’ve been banging this drum all season and it’s been the games that we’ve dropped points that we’ve been unable to change the tide of games.

In reality, we don’t have the bodies to fill a bench right now.

the Bench the last 2 weeks has been poor, even With saka and torp back we need a couple more

Not been on much today

Thought we were the better team first half, although both teams sloppy in places. Hirst should’ve have been off. Poor defending for their goal- KKH pulled out of a challenge, then we seemed to relax and weren’t alert enough for the 2nd/3rd ball.

Second half we just didn’t turn up. Couldn’t really see where the goal was coming. And Ipswich were much better and played the 1-0 perfectly. We started to get caught committing too many forward.

Wasn’t a 3-0 game, Ipswich deserved the win but the goal really changed the game.

Worrying that we’re bringing Andrews on chasing a game. Looked out of his depth.

Today hasn’t worried me as much as getting outplayed from min 1 would have. But injuries clearly had an effect. Reinforcements needed in Jan and I just hope we can get some decent points this month.
