Thought their defence handled us well overall.

First half we dealt well with them and off the ball we were good giving them nothing and really needed to take advantage at that point but we didnt and they were really given a soft goal which then basically threw franks plan a out the window .

Plan B seemed to be hope for the best

thought we had enough to get something today but they Just had that bit extra , simple as, hayden should of scored and it’s a different game, plus If saka and torp start we draw that at least,

Not to worry or anything but we’ve failed to score against a relegated team so far this season.

You could sense we weren't going to get anything from that today, the minute the referee failed to show Hirst a second yellow.
It felt inevitable that he would go on and score an important goal. If he rightfully gets sent off, it's a completely different game.
Awful officiating from start to finish unfortunately.

Not going to berate any of the players, we are thin and have players just returning from injury.
We were the better team first half, second half is a different story as we are pushing for a goal.
Rudi was rusty as expected, it wasn't going his way today. No real service for Simms like previous games.
I felt that we really missed Tats and Torp, you notice their absence because we went back to default of checking back in advanced positions, and passing round the back too much.

A frustrating game but like Wrexham, it's how we respond that matters. I'm sure the players won't be happy with the outcome and will want to put that to bed straight away.
Tats should be back Tuesday too. Hopefully Torp feeling better by then as well, things will look different again.

Also i'm glad we are playing Ipswich again at home so soon, this will be fresh in their minds and will be interesting to see how we respond that day.
Considering the amount their squad cost, i didn't see anything to particularly fear. I'm happy with where we are and the way we are playing.

Grimes looked like he tweaked a hamstring at the end. Christ imagine if he's out for a bit.

If true, " Grimes never gets injured" until he plays for us. 🤬

If we had a squad Rudi would have come on for twenty mins to build up fitness and KKH wouldn’t have been on the pitch. And ideally we’d have had a winger to throw on for something different. The holes in the squad have been clear since the summer and it’s no surprise that when we have to rely on unfit and out of position players we struggle.

There is an argument we should have played 5atb today without 2 natural wingers available .. not sure why we never

I don’t think we need to sign a new player just in case Victor Torp gets sick and I don’t see any urgency to take Dasilva out of the side either.
Torp has been out more than just this week this season though?

And if JDS gets injured?

By the way first half jay da Silva was unbelievable

@SBT if he gets injured I wouldn’t be confident

I think we need another left back maybe a loan

box to box midfielder I think would be perfect to offer more depth and a wide player to rotate

I would be a lot more concerned if Josh Eccles hadn’t been playing consistently well. How much does a better player than Eccles cost and how do you persuade them to play a backup role for most of the season?

If JDS gets injured we have Bidwell and Brau - we are not going to sign a fourth LB in January only to have to upgrade on all four of them six months later.
