I can say it because we've had this conversation numerous times and we've mentioned the points you raise every time. Can't mention those points if we've not been paying attention. Some of them we admit there is something to them. We just then go on to expand the argument and look at other factors that are also part of the problem.

Where's the proof you've been listening to the responses? Where's your reasoned riposte to the points we make? It's always "you're not agreeing with me so you're not listening?"

This isn't about 'us'. Us being the majority of the country. Most people you will speak to accept that immigration should not be zero. I've just said that as well (you haven't listened again), and if you speak to most normal people, they agree this is the case.

The reason people are voting reform is because people like you, and the government, refuse to listen. You are doing exactly the same thing now, whilst pointing the finger.

This is quite an exhausting cycle, and you just aren't getting it.

There's a disagreement because pretty much anything less than sinking boats in the channel and zero immigration is interpreted as wanting completely open borders when the vast majority of those you disagree with want tight controls on immigration.

The difference is some people are happy to take at face value completely false statements made by the likes of Farage and Ratcliffe. You've got the elite chatting absolute shit and a large group of people being completely taken in by it. Nothing seems to have been learnt from brexit. In many cases its the same people making the same arguments, they've just subbed in immigration for brexit as their unicorn fix.
THIS.

Farage was the face of Brexit for years. Brexit has been an unmitigated disaster that has made life worse for the average man on the street.

The average man on the street now thinks putting Farage in government will fix all their woes.

It's staggering really.

Again, you are both displaying that you have absolutely no idea what the average person thinks.

Voting reform, just like Brexit is largely a protest. Most normal people aren't looking at these situations and voting because they idolise Farage and think he is going to solve their problems. The country is at a breaking point, and people have had enough.

The last government and the current government have no shut up about immigration. Its hardly something that's being ignored.

People are going to Reform because they are a) blaming everything on immigrants and b) promising something there is zero chance they will be able to deliver. Its easier to just go along with that rather than tackle the complex issues and the countries own shortcomings.

Its very easy when you're in opposition and have never been in power to claim you have all the solutions, without actually giving any details of those solutions.

Hmm where have I heard that before?

Oh yes.

As has been said, we've heard it all before. It's the same argument rehashed.

I don't vote for reform but people are clearly going to them because there is nobody else willing to at least address the issues. On the other hand you have Starmer just trying to call everybody racist if they have an issue.

Still, what Ratcliffe said distracted away from him for a little bit so job done.

Do you have a link to Starmer calling everyone racist?

As for not addressing the issues:

Over 58,500 illegal migrants and foreign criminals have been removed or deported from the UK since the 2024 election. More than 15,200 illegal migrants were deported and forcibly removed in that same period, a 45% increase on the 19 months prior. Deportations of foreign national offenders including murderers and rapists are up 32%, with more than 8,700 deported since government came into power

But facts don't matter to many people. More people will take notice of Ratcliffe's made up figures than the actual facts above.

(some of the blame for that must go to the government for not pushing this stuff harder)

Fucking hell everybody is far right if they think there are issues.

I haven't heard ratcliffe, was it just his numbers were wrong?

He got his numbers wrong, he also said 'the UK has been colonised by immigrants' which I think is what pissed people off.

Doesn't help that he lives in Monaco to avoid paying tax here, a place where the majority of the population are foreign nationals!

Triggered people? I guess it depends which parts of the UK.

Again. I'm not sure he's a migrant turning up on a boat 😂

I mean I'm not sure he's the same as somebody rocking up here on a boat and getting everything paid for 😂

If anything he's worse.

Avoiding hundreds of millions of pounds in tax while begging for hundreds of millions of pounds in grants from the government. Bloke is a wanker.

Has he never paid tax here?

Sounds like the issue isn't what was said (apart from the numbers) but who said it.

Standard faux outrage behaviour.

He has of course, but his move to Monaco is estimated to save him £4 billion in tax.
So yeah. The outrage is playing the man not the ball, as I said.

So he's actually paid billions in tax already?

It's a lovely distraction for starmer to jump on 😂

Amazing how tax avoidance is fine when it suits your argument.

And that people being given a tenner a week needs to be stopped but avoiding £4bn in tax is no drama.

So yeah your issue was with who said it as you keep trying to get away from what was said.

Now it's make things up time to back your argument, just after being annoyed about somebody else making things up to back theirs 😂

Never change.

What on earth are you on about. I have an issue with what he said and I have an issue with him, is that OK?

You can't seem to make your mind up whether you are against people ripping off the state or not.

Because your focus is about him and not the point he was making. You have even edited when quoting me.

Is that what Starmer meant by an island of strangers?

Where did I say you think immigration should be zero? I didn't - you've inferred it because it's what you want me to have said. You're hearing what you want to hear, not what's actually being said. Someone makes figures up and says the country's problems are due to immigration - you believe that person is listening. Someone says immigration is an issue and we need robust measures to control it but there's also far more to it than just foreigners coming over here - you believe that person is not listening.

You've literally said in this thread "didn't get the numbers accurate to the nearest one isn't really relevant." Apart from the fact it wasn't 'just a few out' - it was wildly inaccurate - if you don't think having accurate numbers is 'really relevant' to the topic then you're not interested in having an adult conversation about it or what the solutions to it might be.

I’ve read on Facebook that 95% of Britain’s agree about the country being colonised so that’s that
Think they would have preferred infested so they could completely dehumanise them though that’s what most of them said
