Keir Starmer does in official announcements and his performative patriotism fools no one. His MPs paint a different picture and they are the ones that will be knocking on doors for votes come the next election.

A Google search gets specific examples, but this gives a decent summary of the current state of play:

All flag waving is performative though isn't it?

Grendel's point was that people hoist flags in public spaces aren't of the UK/home nations. Are they engaging in 'divisive' or 'intimidating' behaviour, if not, why? That's a curious double standard.

The whole business of erecting the Union Jack was in part a response to councils taking down the home nations flags whilst allowing Palestine (and others) flags to stand.

Our flags, particularly the Union Jack, is one of the most inclusive out there.
Well it’s the Union flag when not at sea
Also it wasn’t it was to exert some kind of ownership

Farage would love all heath services to be provided for profit, the profit falling to

Private insurance companies
Private healthcare providers
You don't think its like that already then.
Your Doctors surgery's are pretty much private enterprise's fund by the government under NHS banner.
Dentist's are similar.
The pharmacy at UNHCW was run by Lloyds corporate company working for profit with shareholders. Now another corporate runs it.
The hospital itself is a trust.
The booking system for blood tests is swift queue.
Need I say more

Yes, for some reason I'm very very familiar with it

Would this be a more accurate statement?

Farage would love IMO (@fernandopartridge), like the current and previous governments that all heath services to be provided for profit, the profit falling to

Private insurance companies
Private healthcare providers

Or is your rhetoric just to diss Reform who is yet to be tested of what he may or may not achieve. I don't know myself but am willing to try somebody else.

try summat else vote loony just in case they do a good job
Do you have learning difficulties ?
14 years of Tories didn't fair that well.
14 years practice/preparing and 16 months in government Labour not looking that great either.
To be far to Farage whether you wanted Brexit or not he doggedly campaigned for years on end to achieve it without relent. He may just have a solution.

Given how awful Brexit has been, I'm not sure putting the man who campaigned so strongly to damage his own country into number 10 is the smart solution everyone thinks it is to solve all our problems.

It's mad how little he gets held to account for his role in the state of the country today. The fact he's potentially the next PM is absolutely mind boggling. He's very good at what he does, to be fair to him.

Apologies no offence meant, but I've never seen 'Summat' written before, I'll since learnt that it is mostly used in northern dialect, that and Loony in one sentence had me confused. I'll try to be more sensitive to one line reply's in future. Each point of view is valid in any debate.

I got told it was woke to suggest having the Union flag on corners at football grounds
Who said that? 😂

No, I don’t think it is and to make a generic statement that goes beyond the immigration debate… the civic culture of the UK as a whole needs rejuvenating.

In the context of 20-30 years of mass migration, unifying symbols and stories of the nation are much more important than before. How do you take disparate ethnic, cultural, histories and unite that society? The course of action isn’t clear.

With respect, Brexit has changed surprisingly little and if you think everything would be fine and dandy, perhaps look at what is actually going on in continental Europe.

Think Reform is bad? Look at Le Pen’s party, the AfD and who’s polling well in the Netherlands, Spain, Italy, Austria and so on.

Brexit was a betrayal of an idea and an aspiration
It changed everything
