Not just austerity. Police numbers are down because the law is against them in many ways, they can't police in the way that worked. Everyone 'knows their rights', clever solicitors, risk of someone saying or doing the wrong thing and a career ruined. It's now a profession like any other and not the right people policing. Must be so demoralising to take things all the way to trial and then see them get off on a technicality. I must know 10+ drug dealers and I'm not even a user. If I know them, the authorities must and yet they all go about their business, often with things I can't afford. I'd aso add immigration to be part of that problem. Whilst I saitd it wasn't all about that in my last post, it would be equally naive to assume it's had no impact either.
Yep I know a couple I think decriminalising drugs would be a positive step but we do need to go back to a law based society
Can we put the genie back in

Love the flag chat making a return!
One of the problems with flags being put up everywhere is that the people who did it seem to have lost interest. There's zero maintenance taking place so we're now left with increasingly dirty flags that are barely hanging on with one remaining cable tie.

If people want more flags displayed can we at least get some decent quality ones and ensure they are kept tidy.

Need to put a clean one up as you take one down otherwise there would be widespread outrage at them being removed I woudl imagine and the noise that would create isn't worth the hassle.

Nothing wrong with flags being up, @mmttww is just a sad lonely loser who hates his own country. Guys an idiot that calls everyone racist

I used to think it was neglect or seeing things in childhood etc but then how do you explain things like Venables and Thompson?

They're the exception to the rule, surely? Else you wouldn't be using them as an example.

You think a more right wing Tory party will return?

It will likely be a mish mash. Tories will gain seats back off Lib Dem’s in the South and reform will get seats in the northern strongholds.

Farage has a handful of seats. It’s inconceivable he will win a majority unless he can recruit some significant names from other parties who have experience and gravitas.

My flag is still going strong 10 years later, only needed 2 new poles, 7 flags and 14 cable ties. Bunch of amateurs.

Absolutely they're an exception, but not the only ones, just high profile and an example that people can be both born and become bad. The direct question was "Do you believe people are born inhuman? Or become inhuman?"

Edit: sorry meant to quote your post @torchomatic

My son is 19 and I'm scared for him and the futures of all kids. It's true that Governments of all colours have failed us in so many ways. Things do need fixing, but do we really trust Farage and Reform to fix it? They're a one trick pony, obsessed with immigration, no other plans. There are tons of those vox pops all over the internet. Ask a Reform voter what will happen if Farage gets in and we get a vague "he'll sort Britain out". How? By dismantling the NHS?

The thought of a Reform government is terrifying. We'll head the way of the US under Trump.
If your scared for your teenage son now, how do you see that improving under yet another Labour or Tory government?
The continued decline to a complete shit hole will just continue.

You only get change, by voting for change, and being frightened of change isnt the answer.

Is Reform the answer? Im fucked if I know.
But I sure as hell know Labour and the Tories ain't.

And I think that's why they are ridding so high in the opinion polls.

That's actually one of the most valid reasons I've seen, although the flip side of that is I'd be equally fekked off if we somehow had a combination of the greens or Lib Dems in power instead!

Edit: or even worse, Corbyn & Sultana!!

Farage is the most popular leader but also the most feared. Starmer has issues as he’s the second most feared but the least popular.

It will in the end be a Tory Labour battle - reform will get seats - but both main parties will get new leaders to fight the next election

Will be a miracle for reform not to win, everyone is sick of the main 2 parties. Let’s hope farage stays clean and it will all be good, he’s what we need

Then we just continue to decline as a country.

Is that what we want?

You not planning on being here in 4 years Pete 😱😱😱
I’m tired I thought starmer and reeves and Raynor would bring some vision for how to deal with 14 years of austerity and cronyism especially with some Zarah or jc in the tent keeping them aware of their history

The nation has given up on representative democracy and I don’t have the creativity or wisdom or passion to fight for it

Only if everyone keeps mentioning him and gives the oxygen required. Ignore would be much the best tactic if you or the MSM genuinely want him to fade into the background.
They do actually appear or fail to realise when they do a critique it's a promotion, gets on my tits, I mean Most media follow the beeb who have heavily championed him since his very early day's,you really have to question what do they, did they see in the future that we need a Nigel?
