Well it’s the Union flag when not at seaGrendel's point was that people hoist flags in public spaces aren't of the UK/home nations. Are they engaging in 'divisive' or 'intimidating' behaviour, if not, why? That's a curious double standard.
The whole business of erecting the Union Jack was in part a response to councils taking down the home nations flags whilst allowing Palestine (and others) flags to stand.

Apologies no offence meant, but I've never seen 'Summat' written before, I'll since learnt that it is mostly used in northern dialect, that and Loony in one sentence had me confused. I'll try to be more sensitive to one line reply's in future.
