3rd clue looks like walking football to me
Hmm would they make an announcement? I thought it might be something like that but it's usually sbitc and ccfc retweet

Has what's his name actually ever announced signings before? He's more media and stuff. My guess is a friendly with Brum or something

I don't know a lot about Hummel. Are they similar to other kit providers in that they work off templates that are used for a number of teams or is each kit unique?

E.g. last season our kit shared similarities to Portsmouth, Man City and probably a few others.

As part of our deal with them we get 5 years of bespoke kits.

No one can ever complain about what their club’s kit or sponsor looks like ever again!

Some sponsors add to a shirt. Some ruin it. And then some just transform an item of clothing into a walking billboard. Yeeesh.

Why does every new badge in the EFL look the same too. They're all red, round, clip art image and stupid font.

50 shades of bland.

Saw Arsenal have a really nice shirt this year but their badge ruins it. Jarringly mid 00s clip art on a classic kits. Just looks naff

Personally I think Gotham’s a great font, and it’s not hard to see why people choose it — it looks good when it’s set in an arc like that. Some fonts just don’t work so well when you start monkeying with their alignment, but Gotham’s a good one for that. Trouble is it seems to be everywhere now — Man City started it, and when I re-used it in the CCFC crest redesign I came up with a year or so back it still felt fresh. Now it feels like everybody and their dog is using it, and there’s just too few other good alternatives… they tend to look dated pretty quickly. Take Wigan’s crest for example:

It’s the same basic idea as a lot of football badges over the years, circular with text set around the outer ring on an arc. But the font choice (it’s called Optima) screams boring mid-2000s Republican Presidential campaign to me.

I think every designer goes through a phase of obsessively using Helvetica for everything. It’s such a versatile font.
