You do realise this quote is from the SISU side don't you? And that they actually lost a significant part of their case too. Nil-all, as the judge said. I'd read the court transcript to get the full view.

In any case, I suspect both sides play stupid PR games on message boards. I always think the key is to look for the truth behind the post, rather than worry about who the poster might be. HoundDog1987 looks a bit suss to me though, fwiw!

In what way did they do that, sorry?

It might be a lot easier to get somewhere if more did that!

Used to think an (un)wise man was obsessed about the like button, but I can predict unneringly well nowadays who will like who's posts, regardless of content!

Yes, the same as the one about a media assault on the bank from the other side. I meant from all sides

Nothing stands out, like I say. If they do a proper job there is no way to tell really. It is when people do a half arsed job it makes it easy to see who is a plant or a duplicate account.

Anyway - finally read through it.
Should be enough for a couple of articles in the CT by Simon.

I have said a few times over the past years that I hope I get to read the book.
Tonight I have read volume 1.

Whether it's one-sided or not, this appears to have made people think about how information is disseminated and how PR actually works. Taking a position and resolutely defending it regardless of conflicting evidence is what PR agencies depend upon. It's also the reason we support one (mostly shit) team and are unwilling to change our allegiance (apart from the Phoenixers, who are idiots).

The tyranny of the 'like' button, brother. Like reddit, this place needs a down vote thing. I'd love to see the data for who 'likes' the most posts. My money would be on Astute. Closely followed by Torch.

There is a new version of the forum software where you can have likes AND dislikes but the amount of custom stuff on here (plugins etc) would mean a lot of functionality would be lost if I upgraded.

Fair enough but I do think it makes a certain type of person think that they are speaking for the majority when in fact they're just preaching to the converted.

Exactly. I've got to the point that if I see a post is 'liked' by a certain person I just ignore it. Likes should be few and far between but some use them as passive-aggressive markers of allegiance.

I think Grendel is the ACL plant.
A couple of posts and he galvanises everyone against SISU in seconds.
He is master of reverse psychology so you don't even realise he has done it.
Look at how many threads he is involved in that end with the majority chomping at the bit defending the council!

Thats understandable to a degree if your're dealing with a personalized/ aggressive poster and can't be doing with the shit ,they carry the Torch so to speak ,both ways .

The highlight for me of the whole thing was that line of Joy offering 2 million because it was a charity!
Priceless.

There is a gem of a sequence when Deering is questioned in the day 3 transcript about the nature of the deal with Higgs. Comedy Gold.

I'll just present this small snippet .. PMSL, but the best bit is before that when the price & terms are discussed and she denies knowledge of the details by constantly saying "I don't make the final decision"
MR BRENNAN Q. The fact of the matter is that SISU has made stinging
criticisms as to the probity of the way in which the
trustees conducted themselves during the course of this
transaction, hasn't it?
MS DEERING. Sorry, what does probity mean?
MR JUSTICE LEGGATT: Honesty.

MR BRENNAN: Is Miss Seppala, in your experience, a
particularly sentimental person?
MS DEERING. A. In what respect?
Q. Is she a hard-headed businesswoman or does she sometimes
enter into commercial decisions because she has a high
regard for the other contracting party, for example?
A. I can't speak for Joy.

To be fair, it isn't really that funny is it? I reckon most will need to look the word up to see what it means

In the bit where the council suggest 50% of ACL is not worth the agreed HoT

Is the council saying that the price of 5.5 is too much for ACL because SISU are refusing to honour the existing contract and refusing the agree the improved rent offer.

If that is the case then seen in that context should SISU get the Higgs share at the lower value when the lower value is there due to the actions of SISU.

Also should SISU be able to buy the YB loan out for less than it is worth. When it is less than it is worth because ACL were going to struggle to pay it because SUSU were refusing to pay their bills.

It also questions whether SISU would be able to get the YB at a cheaper rate anyway.

Also was Coventry affordable for SISU in the championship.

Once you are in league one not paying rent.
ACL becomes seriously devalued.
Also if you are not in the Ricoh then it really becomes devalued.

Wages in league one a third if what they are....
