Yup. I really suffer in the heat.

My chest was really hurting and I had a really awful pressure headache.

Anything over about 25° and I'm done. Always the same thing.

Is it dangerous to put ice in my ass?

Answer (1 of 9): I'd agree with the other answer on here but also add that if you were to use a large amount of ice cubes or something like a dildo made of ice you would probably get frostbite in your rectum. The comparison to skin isn't quite right, as the epithelial layer on the skin is much th...

I've closed all blinds and curtains and shut all windows after having them open all night and up until 9 this morning.

Never done it before but the experts claim its the right thing to do so

Top tips on the radio today. Including these zingers;

* Turn off your central heating if you haven’t already

* Breath slower

* Don’t think about being unable to sleep

I’m now fully prepared to face this.

I have tied a bag of ice cubes to the front of my pedestal fan. It helps a little.

Be aware, the fan may heat up the room, so you may just get temporary relief

The best thing I've found is to take all your clothes off and stand in a bowl of ice water.

It works brilliantly, but unfortunately the bus stop isn't the best place to do it apparently!

Nope. Got a few large portable fans we use when it gets too bad but been here so many years just got used to the heat. Work around it where possible. House is a 3 storey job so not ideal for domestic a/c.
This year is a bit of a one-off as not usually this many rain-free days which usually break up the heat cycles a bit. It'll calm down at the end of month - August should hover around the 30 C mark.
Plus with these new govt utility prices ac going to be expensive to run - seeing also sort of scary numbers being bandied about. Gas bill could be a real nightmare with a cold winter.

I took the decision on Friday to book today off, fuck sitting inside roasting and being unable to work while looking at how nice it is outside. Going to drive to a nearby lake with a couple of friends
