The fact that he doesn’t score for four or five games and people have this reaction just shows how used people are to him scoring goals 🤷🏻‍♂️

I interpreted the way he left the field on Saturday as pure frustration at his own performance - he looked super pissed off with how the game had gone for him.

Players, especially strikers tend to have these streaks. In this patch of poor scoring form I've seen him battling more, coming deep to get the ball and laying on an assist for BTA when many strikers in that situation might keep it all for themselves.

I also think the way we play and the way teams play us is going to take some adjustment for him. He's no longer the spearhead of our attack - there's just not as much space for him to exploit. When he does get chances with space and time to run at someone, he's making the wrong decisions or not executing well. Both of these things will change over time. Getting on his back is just a waste of time. But hey, here we are on a forum of absolutely no consequence to anything chatting bollocks...

Haji has been fine but without Torp scoring a weekly screamer and BTA purple patch possibly coming to an end we could do with Haji going on one of his goal scoring runs, I’m sure when Rudoni is back in the team he will help unlock him.

Feels crazy to write that about a player who’s scored 8 in 14 but he has the ability.

He is frustrating to watch much of the time because when he is on it, he is one of the best championship strikers (and Premiership quality). However, he is off it far too often. The Stoke performance I think was his worst since Sunderland playoffs. Unfortunately, although I hope he will play well, I don't expect he will.
I was hoping Simms would have come on much earlier against Stoke and wondering why Lampard left Wright on for so long. But there have been previous games where he has looked stronger in the last 10 minutes, often scoring.

In the Championship only Asanti (that bloke that plays for us) and Morris at Derby have scored more than Wright and they have both played one more game than Wright.

I mean Wright must be terrible 😆
