Hasnt for a while, not for us anyway for has he scored for us since his offside goal Sheff Wed?
Must be screwing with your head reading so many positive comments about our players. Q: Do you really support City? Did you enjoy the lost years more than our current journey?

If Hadji consistently played at the level we know he can then he would be playing in the Prem.
Weird take.
I'm not personally grateful Haji doesn't bring anywhere near enough consistency for us.
Will it eventually cost us this season like against Sunderland?

As to Simms you have to feel sorry for him. A likeable lad who has obviously put a lot of effort in to improve. But it seems Frank is more or less freezing him out with a view to offload. Understandable but from what we are seeing it would be better to sub Haji out a given Simms more minutes.

Haji, start of this season amazing, but also one of the most frustrating players, but he has got into positions to score some crucial goals. I have got to the point where I know he isn't going to perform 100
% every game, it's frustrating but being a striker isn't easy, how many score 20 goals a season at this level, not many. He can do it and when Rudi returns I think he has a greater chance due to that creativity, but BTA has picked up the slack and this is what a squad is all about. Simms too has added a few goals and assists, yet again showing that it is a squad game. As frustrating as wright is, I am not going to (WRIGHT) him off

What I would say is given where we are we don't need large negative threads on Haji and Robins.
Let's sit back, look at the table and wallow in blissful happiness given what we've been through 👍😀

He isn’t being frozen out. His overall game isn’t great and he’s reputation is being enhanced by perception rather than reality.

Lets break this down because facts normally outweigh emotional opinion .

Ellis flicked on the ball from the throw , thats good thats his job he also won 3 of 4 aerial duels .

However

He completed 14% of his passes 1 accurate from 7

He lost possesion 6 times

He came on in the 84th minute , hes hardly come on and played like R9

Exactly. It seems some fans treat him like a hard done to player rather than someone who had a poor season last time out

People praising a flick on when 99 times out of 100 it wouldn’t have led to a goal anyway

Was raging at him yesterday and he’s been poor since international duty. But that post yesterday about selling him and replacing him with Bamford was something else.

Can anyone who has entertained the idea of Bamford playing here please remove the idiotic thought from their mind?

A brilliant goal scorer but so frustrating.

The Yanks and Poch won't put up with a performance like that in the World Cup.

You never know with players. It could be his kid keeping up all night, might have a knock, might be contract negotiations etc etc etc. We never know! Just saying...
Silly excuse.

The average man has their kids keeping him up all night and noisy neighbours, yet they still get up and perform at their factory job, or teaching job.

He gets paid enough. A bad nights sleep should not stop him from performing in top level elite sport.

There you go, you've just assumed sleepless nights...

From the away end yesterday, there was a noticeable minority grumbling and shouting at him. There was also the generic football fan groaning noise when he was on the ball or challenging for the ball, so I’m not surprised this has been made into a thread.

I’m sure Wright will turn it back on soon and let’s be thankful we have the league’s top scorer and other great goal contributors in the side.

Jeez it's a football forum. Can we not have opinions and state the bleeding obvious that certain players have been carried for weeks.

Il be more than happy if he scores the winner and gets his form back. Its not a vendetta against him.

Just stating Simms offers more in few mins than haji does for the majority of the game.

Why wasn't Simms credited with the assist yesterday.

Simms won a header - that’s it

While Simms is at least showing the desire and trying to get involved in his cameos. It seems daft to just dismiss him and his contributions while Wright isn’t contributing.

We can say he only won a header, but Wright’s single highlight was receiving a stupid yellow card.

There were 2 or 3 times Wright carried the ball and drew 2 players over to him. I think he does what Lampard asks of him tactically. If he didnt, he wouldnt be starting every game. If he ran about like Bassette people would moan as well. He got an assist 5 days ago when apparently playing shite. Great player, just has a languid play style which can be misconstrued as laziness. Think Berbatov.

Oh I’d rather have Wright playing like he has than Norman Bassette at all. Always said he had a languid look, a bit like the famous Julian Gray. I saw someone refer to him as enigmatic. Something I used to call Gyokeres all the time.

Yeah I liken him to Bothroyd in that sense. Simms is more a Biamou 😏
