My point is I doubt bands with those anarchy beliefs would ever sign up for a cosy commercial BBC wankfest

Also, I’d like to point out, lots of bands from this by-gone era also fully sold themselves out and became sanitised versions of how they started!

I enjoyed Franz set. Caught Fatdogs set by accident and quite enjoyed that despite not knowing anything about them beforehand. Looked like a good one to be at.
Shame Anthony Szmiereks set won't be filmed as it's on one of the smaller stages.

There's a hardcore band down here called Trevor and the Zombie Killers and they have a song called Anal Seepage.

I can give you a link to it if you want.

Would certainly prefer a link rather than googling that mate…

I mean, you could be joking and I don’t watch much regular TV with adverts but would not be surprised at all if true.

Is Nile Rodgers at Glastonbury every time it's on or does it just feel like it?

Apparently it’s his third time playing. Pretty ridiculous back catalogue he’s got.

I often sing that to my two very baffled stepdaughters.

They can't believe it's an actual song

I expect home secretary Cooper will announce some additional restriction on free speech before long.

The Met has said they will not be prosecuting Kneecap over previous statements.

Avon & Somerset police are considering what Kneecap & Vylan did.

Anyway we shall see in the fullness of time.

so 4:40 in Turnstile's set is insane. Having a band with a crowd that size on that stage at that festival blasting some raging NYHC is so surreal. Love 'em!

They've announced their tour and its Manchester and London again. Unless I missed it has got to be years since they've played Brum, or any Wests Mids gig for that matter.

Its an absolute pain that so many tours skip the midlands now. I can just about make a weeknight gig in Brum or Wolves but any further than that and I'm looking at having to take annual leave and I don't get enough of that to use it on gigs.

There must be so many people that just don't go now because its such a hassle. Guess the days of 10 plus dates being the norm are long gone.

Maybe I need to give them more of a listen. Not be overly impressed so far. I think I have heard around 4 tracks. They do sound like they should be right up my street.

One band I would say that do warrant a listen, are Mould, from Bristol.

They weren't at Glastonbury, but are definitely one to watch

They describe themselves as Chunky Punk.

I love them..

Neil Young - legend for sure - still singing and murdering a guitar at 70
Plus - most of the modern bands will be gone in 5 minutes - I’m sure Micheal Eavis knew every song on the NY set - fuck the Millennials

Ah, would have watched that. Chic are great. First year I've never watch any, not even one minute, of Glass Stone Berry.

What an enormous waste of police time

Update: Investigation into comments made on stage at Glastonbury Festival | Avon and Somerset Police

A criminal investigation is now underway following a review of video footage and audio from Bob Vylan and Kneecap’s performances at Glastonbury Festival on Saturday 28 June.

Its great news that there's not so little crime in this country there's time to investigate things like this.

We're not far off arresting people for thought crimes.

Surely all they need to do is watch it on video and say "yes or no"? What investigating is there?

Unless they want some overtime.

So Bob Vylan were supposed to be headlining Radar festival this weekend but they got removed and then it all kicked off.

Ticket buyers were furious and when the festival refused refunds people started doing chargebacks via their card issuer and other acts due to appear started pulling out.

Then it came to light that the promoter, who is an independent promoter, was threatened by Israeli backed lawyers and obviously didn't have the financial capacity to fight them. To top it all off it's now been revealed she's personally been receiving death threats.
