All very well saying 'sack the manager' again...'sisu have to act'...etc
Sisu have 'acted' (in respect of replacing managers) 8 times in 7 years (if you count caretakers). And oh look, we're near the bottom of league 1. Hasn't worked has it.
Maybe someday everyone will realise that maybe it's not the ability of the managers employed necessarily but the unwillingness of the owners to fund a squad capable of going up...
Robins was only one who went off his own accord, had highest win ratio, and the team he did well with has now been dismantled for the sake of cost cutting (or FFP as Fisher keeps reminding us of).
And before anyone mentions revenue streams and not owning the stadium, they knew that when they took over.

Why CWR are saying we were in control of a game with the shots statistics (they mean 'we were winning'), I'll never know. The transfer activity (or lack of) will be the make or break for me this season (the lack of goals combined with the lack of creativity is the key bit for me - unless we solve that, we are in deep trouble, and heading for a dice with L2 :censored:)

CWR are blind the stats are all in their favour not ours .....ffs

It was a crap squad at the start of the season and it's a crap squad now. and still there are mugs on here who say it's a squad good enough to reach the play offs.

The good news though is that there's still £3m from the CW sale and I'm sure the ambitious owners will invest for a real promotion push in the second half of the season.

The players are good enough, the team is not.

SP this squad should not be anywhere near the relegation zone and trying to hit woeful teams on the counter is absolutely not good enough. He sees nothing wrong with his approach and for this he has got to go.

Yep, individually they aren't bad players but the blend and balance of players means the squad and team is not good enough.

As hardly seen a game the last couple of seasons haven't felt able to comment too much on him, either when he was the second coming last season, or shite when first took over, and now.

This league is fucking awful, and if unable to get a decent run of results in this league, with whatever some say, should be highly competitive, then he has to go before it really is too late.

Extremely disappointed after 1st, comfortable leaders at HT, we dominated

Need to pick ourselves up and understand position we are in

Had some great moments

Choices really poor in second

Final pass / choice let us down

Need stronger mentality, didn't show strong mentality

Thought Gills put us under a lot of pressure

Most chances created by our own wrong doing

Didn't react well enough

Devastated with result especially after first half performance

Sucked right down to danger area

Swanson moment for pen is what he's talking about. Making things happen

Got at people well and pen well dispatched

Their pen - seen again. Been into see ref. Brilliant challenge, never a pen, could see change of ball direction

Lino has to be 100% sure, and he got it wrong

Came here last yr and suffered bad refereeing decisions

Knee injury for Pennington

Extremely unhappy fans to be expected. Deal with criticism but will continue to put things right at this football club

Have to turn corner extremely quickly

Not good enough all round

What was the atmosphere like in the stands SW?

During the game until the final goal there wasn't really one, least apart from the odd City song being sang. Few fans making angry / fishpond ant noises come the second and third goals.

Boo's could be heard at Ft but that's expected.

Frantic defending of Pressley by Eakin and Linnell now! It's obvious that Clive also reads on here and doesn't like the majority view of the manager.

I'd say the majority of fans can see the way this club has been run into the ground, however SP does not have the tatical capabilities to win 1 nil at Gillingham or even hold for a 1 all! A well organised team with a little spark is all we crave, there has to be someone with experience at this level better than him.

Shhhhhhhhhhhhh. Can't have logical points like that.

Totally disagree with this other view he spreads that changing the manager won't do anything. You've only got to look at what happened when Thorn was sacked and Robins replaced him. A competent manager will do better than the present one.

Even so, we should be doing better this season with the squad we've got/had. Poor decisions by the manager have undoubtedly exacerbated the situation. Football is littered with examples of good managers getting players to over-achieve by being superbly organised and motivated-look at the transformation at Palace last season when Pulis took over! Blackpool's promotion under Holloway, Yeovil's promotion under Johnson...Coventry City's FA Cup win under Sillett!

Good managers win matches by being tactically astute and proactive, rather than reactive as Pressley is. The fan in the stands can see things that he refuses to acknowledge. Sorry, Pressley bears a fair level of responsibility for where we are.

Look at Robins at Scunthorpe too.

It is all well and good people going on about investment etc but surely the best managers get the best out of the team they have with the best system to suit the players?

That's pretty much what I've always thought that a good manager does! Even a decent manager can organise and motivate to a certain extent. I think Pressley came in with the shouty approach, it worked for a bit as the players did need a kick up the arse and he had some quality players still, but that can only get a response and paper over tactical failings for so long.

Exactly, I'd say that was a good manager too. You work with what you have, get the best out of your team, find the best system to suit the players you have available. The lower league managers also seem to know the leagues inside out so they can pick up gems from nowhere (and their scouts). We have scouts though, what are they doing?

Football Manager is piss easy when I put the cheats on for unlimited money. :)

What's he saying?

Why would the players care though, their manager is watching a game where they all perform like Messi and Ronaldo week in week out!

Giving quite brief answers to gimme questions, but he just sounds like someone who is resigned to his team being crap.

I hope he does read this and particularly this post.... Clive, you and Linnell are almost as shit a commentary team as Pressley and Karl Pilkington are as a management duo. I cannot wait until the day that you both fuck off and we no longer have to hear you getting a hard on each time we get a throw in within the opposition half. Get your geriatric cocks out of Pressley and Fisher's backsides and tell it how it really is. Whenever I listen to views on other local stations after away games that is exactly what they do. Perhaps you should take note you boring bastards.
