Asked about any potential new signings, Lampard simply said 'we are aware that the market is open'.

One day left of the transfer window. SBT is currently on a knife edge. Win tomorrow and make a signing or two, we are ok. Lose and sign no one, then I will say a quiet prayer for Nick's servers and the staff at Mothercare who will need to work overtime restocking the nappies.

Rob Gurney and Lorna Bailey are expected to ask the questions but they must both inwardly sigh when they do knowing they might as well talk to the wall..... Both Lampard and Robins tow the company line really well.....
