Its not just heres the cash and lets go. Our league position complicates matters slightly so not suprised if they have a few things to iron out

Did Ipswich not have the same issues to iron out to sign Dan Neil? Or Boro with Leo Castledine?

People just love finding an excuse to give Doug a free run at failure. We bought the ground. We're getting a higher quality of player so its harder (whilst teams around us seem to not be struggling). There's more creases to iron out in a deal like this. His wages were too high. Weve not got an infinite amount of transfer money. We did try. We kept all our key players.
